Question:

I have a 2016 keystone cougar travel trailer, 28foot and I am looking for a replacement slam latch. We purchased one from latch it and it does not fit. Any suggestions for a factory slam latch on a 2016 cougar travel trailer

The most common slam latch used for campers in 2016 like your Keystone Cougar is the Lippert Standard Baggage Door Latch Kit # LC317649. You can use the mounting screw pattern to verify if this is the correct size for your Cougar. The vertical mounting holes are spread 2-13/16" on center while the horizontal holes are spread 2-11/16" on center.

Please let me know if you have a different measurement for either set of mounting holes.
