Designed to work with high-powered roof vents, the FanMate cover offers superior rain protection so that the vent can be opened and the fan can be operated in any weather. The FanMate has a wide vent area that maximizes airflow, preventing heat from building up inside your RV or trailer. EZClip pins make it simple to open or remove the cover for roof vent maintenance. And no drilling is required to install the cover over a MaxxFan or MaxxFan Plus vent.
This FanMate cover is designed to work with any roof vent that has a high-powered, high-speed fan, including MaxxFan Plus vents and certain MaxxFan Deluxe, Fan-Tastic Vent, and Shurflow vents. The FanMate is also taller than other MaxxAir vent covers so that it can provide increased lid clearance, which allows you to open the dome of your roof vent more.
The wide, louvered vent area at the back of the FanMate means that the cover provides more airflow in and out of your RV or trailer than standard covers. The angled louvers allow smoke, odors, and stale air to escape while keeping rain and debris out.
This FanMate vent cover comes with 4 EZClip pins. These pins enable you to easily open or remove the cover. When the pins are removed from one side, the opposite side acts as a hinge, allowing you unobstructed access to your roof vent for cleaning and maintenance. To secure the cover closed, slide the pins back into the cover and push them up to lock them in place.
The FanMate vent cover is specifically designed for installation on newer-model MaxxFan and MaxxFan Plus roof vents. No drilling or tools are required. The integrated mounting brackets on the FanMate perfectly align with the mounting tabs that are molded onto the flange of the roof vent. To install, fit the cover over the roof vent. Then slide the included EZClip pins through the tabs and rotate them up to secure the cover in place.
If you are installing this cover over an older-model MaxxFan roof vent without mounting tabs, no drilling is required and all necessary hardware is included. The MaxxFan roof vent has pre-drilled holes in the side wall that are hidden under plastic plugs. Just remove the plugs and fasten the aluminum brackets to the side wall with the stainless steel screws. Then insert the EZClip pins through the brackets to secure the cover in place.
If you're installing this FanMate cover over any other roof vent, then drilling into the frame of the roof vent may be required. Stainless steel screws, nuts, and washers are included to install the cover. However, if you're installing the cover over a high-powered, high-speed ventilation fan, use the included self-tapping screws to mount the cover instead.
This vent cover is constructed of durable, high-density polyethylene. Special additives help ensure that the material can resist the negative effects of UV rays. And the cover is translucent so that some natural light can shine through.
