Recommended Roof Vent Covers for a Trailer with Automatic Open Roof Vent

Question:

Hi! Just bought a 2019 Grand Design Reflection.....and want to outfit it with vent covers . I have 2 regular vents bedroom and bathroom ....but the one in the kitchen is opened electrically and operated from the hallway. It has a rain sensor and opens quite a ways....see attachments. Does this one require the Maxair II ?

The best roof vents we offer for your trailer are going to be the MaxxAir FanMate RV and Trailer Roof Vent Covers part # MA00-955002 for black, part # MA00-955003 for smoke, or part # MA00-955001 for white. The reason for this is because they have the tallest inside clearance measurements of 9-1/2". These will work just fine for your two standard roof vents but for the electric open roof vent, you will need to take a bit of caution.

Judging from the photo it looks like it might not fit under the above roof cover while fully open. However, most roof vents will stop once they scene resistance so you should be just fine but you would need to verify that your roof vent has this feature prior, otherwise I would just not use a cover on this vent. I am not aware of another roof vent cover on the market that will allow for you to open your roof vent completely so the only other would be to replace the vent with a manual lift option, something like the MaxxAir MaxxFan Mini Roof Vent part # MA00-04401M.
