I recommend using the MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent # MA00-04500K he MaxxFan 4900k is no longer in production. This is very similar as it has thermostatic control, remote control and rain sensor.

Adding the MaxxAir FanMate RV and Trailer Roof Vent Cover # MA00-955003 will allow you to still use the vent even in the rain. It will attach with the included clips so no drilling is required. It is smoke like the vent cover to allow light to still come in when closed.
