Question:

We installed a MaxxAir 4500k vent fan in our fifth wheel and would like to buy a vent cover. We bought a model 00-955002 and it was too short. Which cover will fit?

For the MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus vents you can use the MaxxAir cover # MA00-955003. It is 22-1/8" long x 20-1/8" wide x 9-3/8" tall.

Hi Michael. I also have the 4500K fan and purchased the MaxxAir II cover. It meets the dimensions you quoted. I could not install it when the fan lid was open. The fan lid hits the cover and can not open as far as it does without the cover. Is this going to burn up the opening motor?

@MikeN That is 100% normal. Manufacturers didn't want the cover to stick up past the height of the air conditioner so that's why the lid can't fully open once the cover is installed. Manufacturers have stated that the motor should sense the pressure and stop raising the lid to prevent damage to the gears.
