This transfer switch has been pre-wired to automatically change the primary source of AC current from shore power to generator or inverter power when available. To prevent electrical interruptions, the time delay circuit board allows the alternate power source to stabilize before a transfer occurs. Additionally, since the switch only accepts one active source, it protects your electrical system from dangerous backfeed that can damage your equipment.
The plastic case also has cord knockouts for other connections.
The switch wires to your shore power input and generator or inverter input. Both inputs are wired to the AC panel.
Additionally, the lever lock connectors make installation faster and more secure. Simply open the lever, insert the wire, and close.

Quick flip connectors were loose and needed to be secured with electrical tape.
Very good upgraded direct replacement for my melted OEM 5110 (photo). The only issue I had was one quick flip clip opened during installation. There does not appear to be enough detent force to keep it closed securely. My solution was to wrap the clip with electrical tape to prevent the possibility of reopening.

Bypassing the switch delay requires adding a jumper which is not provided.

I am using this in a single axel camper trailer with a 2,000 Watt inverter. For my setup, I decided to disable the switching delay. This is not difficult but requires removing the cover off the PCB circuit. For the jumper, you have to figure something out. There's not much room to fit a jumper so you may need to get creative. I ended up soldering a wire across the jumper pins.
The 2 power inputs are marked Generator and Plug (shore power). When power is sensed on the Generator input, the switch connects it to breaker panel. For my application, I decided to reverse these connections. So, when I plug in to shore power, it disconnects the inverter. This is so the battery charger is running whenever connected to shore.
That brings me to the one thing I hadn't thought of when I started this project. The charger was connected to the electrical panel. This was no good because there would be a power loop: Inverter => Charger => Batteries => Inverter
So, I had to disconnect the charger from the breaker panel and connect it directly to the shore power line. Also, to be safe, I added a small breaker box with 15A breaker for the charger.

These are great switches at a great price. I've installed quite a few as replacements. This one was for my personal RV. I added a generator, so this was necessary to flip between shore power and the generator. It was a tight fit in the space, but works well.
Easy installation, with the wire clips the job took no time at all.
Arrived timely, tastes great…less filling. Seriously, it works great. The hardest part of install was getting access to existing unit.

Works like a charm although the time delay to switch over from shore power to Inverter power is longer than necessary. One of these days I'll try to jumper it out and see if that moves the needle to 5 stars.

I installed this transfer switch a year ago after my original one failed. The numbered wires made swapping out the unit relatively easy. All that was required was to match up the numbers and terminate the wires. Kind of like painting by numbers. I haven’t had any issues since installing.
The quick connectors makes for a loose connection. The connector switch came open so I used electrical tape to keep them closed. There should be instructions to determine which wires go to generator, shore and panel. I had to compare the old switch to determine the correct connection
shipping was a nightmare, showed up 6 days late, etrailers customer service never once called back after they said they would, couldnt get ahold of "cody" the guy who was referenced in the email i recieved, i was able to source this product locally and installed that one and was up and running after i gave up on getting this one in the mail, i guess you could say it was like christmas except i had to pay for it. I wont order from etrailer again. good luck to everyone else.
Straight forward swap out the old transfer switch with the new one. It fit in the available space and was easy to connect. Problem solved.

After installation of the PD5110010Q transfer switch, the generator was started, and after twenty-two seconds, power was supplied to the RV electrical panel as expected. Two appliances were checked (TV and refrigerator) and booth came on normally. The generator was stopped and after several minutes was restarted and came up to speed normally. However, the relay did not energize and no power was available to the RV panel. Going to step number five of the troubleshooting guide, with the generator still running, an insulated screwdriver was used to push down on the center arm of the relay. Upon contact with the normally open contacts, power reached the RV electrical panel. As per the guide, the ATS has failed and must be replaced. The same problem persisted on several additional starts of the generator. I am returning the transfer switch for a refund and will be purchasing another brand of transfer switch. This is the exact problem that I was trying to correct with the original PD5110010Q transfer switch that is only five years old. Evidently, there are poorly manufactured timing delay/relay control components that cannot be repaired or replaced separately from the ATS. Recommend avoiding the PD5110010Q Transfer Switch made by Progressive Dynamics.
Installed in a travel trailer in a lithium, inverter upgrade. Works perfect!
The connectors made it easy to install. Haven’t had any issues with the switch.
