Can this transfer switch be wired with a battery charger so that the charger automatically comes on when shore power is inserted?

The transfer switches like # PD5110010Q that you referenced aren't able to make that type of choice if that makes sense. They basically decide from different power sources which to allow through to the panel. Now the panel is what makes choice to charge the battery or not. Most are going to begin charging the battery when shore power is connected to it and then obviously not do so when unplugged.
