Can Progressive Dynamics Transfer Switch Quick Flip Connectors Be Wired for Dominate Shore Power

Question:

Can this transfer switch be wired so shore power is dominant and inverter is backup. Want to use for sump pump backup in home. When grid fails want the inverter to kick on automatically and when grid power comes back on want to switch back to grid automatically

I reached out to Progressive Dynamics for you about the Progressive Dynamics Transfer Switch with Quick Flip Connectors part # PD5110010Q and they responded as follows:

"I was able to make this work on our test bench. You would want to jumper the H1-H2 connection to disable the time delay. The jumper is shown in the attached owners manual. These are the .10 inch jumpers often used on PCB boards. Then attach the dominant line to the Generator connections and the inverter line to the power cord connection . This allows either line to be on at all times."
