Looking For Longer Hitch Pin For Bike Rack

Updated 07/17/2026 | Published 07/05/2026

Question:

I have an receiver hitch bike rake with a locking pin. It worked with my 2002 tacoma, but with my 2024 tacoma the pin doesnt go far enough for the lock to lock. I am looking for a longer pin to work with my lock or a pin and lock combination that will work with my 2024 tacoma. Thank you, Dan

Hey Dan, thanks for reaching out. We might have a longer pin for you, but typically those threaded hitch pins are brand and model specific to the bike rack.

What is the brand and model of your bike rack? Let me know and I'm happy to look into it.

@Dan Do you happen to have a part or model number for your Transit rack?

@Dan It looks like pin on your TransIt Flatbed 2DLX has a 1/2 - 13 thread pitch. We are not going to carry anything longer than what you currently have in that thread. It does look like there is a pin made for your specific bike rack that is longer than the standard. The part # is KR210-8+10MM.
