  When determining what screen door latch you would need either the right hand or left hand side you would need to look at the closed door from the inside of your RV. The latch location is the side of the door that it is mounted on. This would mean that a right hand latch like the # LC201471 will be mounted on the right hand side of the screen door as you view it from the inside of the RV. If you need the left hand side you would want the part # LC201472.

The photo you're referring to of the Lippert screen door latch is an older photo and it looks like Lippert has since then changed the designed for the holes to be offset.
