What's up everybody. It's AJ with Today, we're going to be checking out this replacement screen door latch from JR Products. It's going to be an easy part to put on and replace. These aren't too difficult to break. I can imagine kids hanging on it, or messing with it or slamming the door too hard.

And if this breaks, then your door just kind of comes open and closes as it pleases. You can easily fix that. Let's check it out. Take a closer look at it here. It operates really simply just push down on this lever.

The tab goes in and then opens the door. You can even push it closed without pulling down the lever. You can see it's kind of tapered there, so you can easily just push it. I'll go behind there, not a whole lot of effort. I didn't have to push very hard.

I can do it with one finger. It goes right into place. So that's going to be good. If you're carrying a bunch of stuff in here, you just need to kind of bump it with your elbow or whatever. It's not going to take much just to latch in place and close it.

There's also a tapered spot here on the back of the handle. That's just going to make it really easy to close it and put it with the catch there. You see, I didn't have to touch it or lower this. Goes right into place. And now the screen door is attached to the door and out of the way. That was going to be a direct replacement for your Amerimax right-handed handle. It's really easy to install it. Didn't take us that long to replace them, check out how we did it. Something to think about before you start installing though, I want to make sure you get the right latch for your door. There's going to be two different styles. There's Amerimax. That's this one here. Then there's going to be Phillips. That's this one here. Now the difference is going to be is the Amerimax it's center-to-center bolt spacing is going to be three inches. And then on the Phillips, it's going to be 2.3 inches in between the two holes. So just want to make sure you get the right one for your door. You don't have to drill any extra holes if you don't have to. Another thing to think about is, do you need a left-handed one or a right-handed one We have right-handed variants today of both. They also have left-handed ones on our website, if you need those instead. First thing we're going to need to do is remove the old latch. You're just going to go up here and make sure you get the right tool for it. We have square bolts in here today. We're just going to back those out. Set that hardware aside. And repeat the process up here. You can just remove the old one. I'll come back and add our new one into place. So it just lines up with the holes there. We're actually, on second thought, going to use the hardware that came with this new one, because the old hardware was a little enlarged and they just went ahead and installed it anyway. We're going to keep this one looking a little nicer. So we're going to install with the hardware they gave us. So this time we're gonna use a Phillips screwdriver to run that screw in, but still keep it kind of loose. We're not going to go super tight we want to make sure it latches properly. So just going to get it started because it is a slotted hole, so you can move it side to side where it needs to be. So we're going to just kind of loosely do it for now and give it a test before we tighten it fully. Now I left it loose just for this instance. You see how it's not even close to catching there, but since it's slotted, you can push it over so that's going to be behind that catch and the door won't open. So I'm just going to push it in and tighten those down to keep it in place. So right there, it catches now so he doesn't come out until I pull that latch. Now this is the part of the installation where we replace the catch here, but this one's fine. It's not damaged. This would be the new one you would get. And you see the holes are a little bit different. And since this isn't staying on this rig today, we're not going to make new holes in the door, but just wanted to show you what it would look like. This is the new one that would come with it, and you want to line that up with your latch, but this one's going to work just fine. So we're just going to leave it in place. It also comes with the door latch that you can add into the inside of your doorframe, but ours already has one built into the doorframe here. So we don't need to replace it or install it. It works just fine. But it really is that easy to install the new latch for your door. It's not going to take you a lot of time to get that installed, as you saw me do it, and it just keeps it working nice and your screen door will operate properly. Well thanks for hanging out and hope this helps..

Oh my goodness. I bought a horse 2006 trailer that had a tack room with a screen door. The latch was broken and I thought I would never find a replacement part. Well, I luckily did! Super happy had exactly what I needed! Fast shipping too!
Thank you so much??

Works perfectly! Thanks etrailer

Works great. I haven’t broken it yet as I am hard on things apparently. A good sturdy latch that can be used in either direction I believe. Looks beefy and clean. Thanks etrailer :)

The part was easy to install and fit perfectly. It's still functioning well.

Item correct and delivered as expected.

We ordered a screen door latch for our RV. The sales person was told which way the door opened. The product arrived and it was wrong. Needed the opposite latch. They made it write immediately with no hassle. Hopefully the staff will get educated on the difference between right hand swing and left hand swing. All in all, great product and fast delivery. Took good care of us.

Second time we’ve ordered this product for different doors. Very satisfied.

Exactly the part I needed

Easy ordering. Easy install. Works as it should.

Works great. Exact fit.

Just perfect, will get other parts as service

This was exactly what we needed to fix our screen door on our camper. The holes for the handle lined up exactly with the previous one which made the installation super simple. The door latch and frame latch didn't need to be replaced so we used the old ones in place. The new holes for the two new latches didn't line up with the old ones as they were spaced differently but the old latches worked just fine. If I needed the new latches I would have just had to drill small holes into the aluminum so I kept them and will install them if the old ones ever fail.

After a hiccup or two with the usps, we received the part, Hallelujah! I’m very impressed with the customer service from Etrailer. The last several years have had a marked downgrade in this skill, amongst all businesses. Thank y’all very much for all your enthusiastic help.

The package came promptly and securely. Service by Etrailer was, as usual, excellent. The product itself could use some improvements. The distance between our outer door and screen door appears to be slightly more than they anticipated and the catch that is supposed to latch the two doors together would not engage until I added a shim under the latch. It would be useful if they added a couple of pre-made shims to the package for this condition. We installed anew house screen door latch a couple of years ago and that's what they did.

This door handle was an exact fit replacement for the screen door on my 2008 Newmar Ventana.

I received the screen door replacement in 4 days as promised. It was the in perfect condition and easy to install.

Working great. Hasnt broken yet.

Fits and works great, very easy to put on

The wife noticed the trailer screen door handle was about to break .I found the replacement on your site ordered 2 of them installed one and it works great!

The unit adapted well and does the job!

applaud you for asking for a review after a period of time when one can actually be objective. Asking for a review a few daya after a purchase is usless. Many firms belive that such reviews are actually helpful. Then again, some folks are easily led.

I received exactly what I needed in a timely manner. ETrailer was great to work with!

This door latch worked perfectly on our 2015 Forest River Vengeance 39R12 front door!

Part was delivered as stated. Fit right into my camper, as a replacement for the OEM part.

Excellent service, product as described. I would recommend etrailer!

Worked well.

Replacement part was as good or better then the original

  • Choosing The Correct Left Hand/Right Hand Screen Door Latch For Your RV
The point of view for left hand/right hand for this door latch is from inside of your camper. The # 37211215 would be screwed into the screen door on the outside on the left side (from the inside POV) and the bevel on the strike would allow the latch to retract as it's being pushed into the closed position. When you look at the Door Latch for Amerimax RV Screen Doors - Right Hand # 37210765 the point of view is from the outside of the trailer and you can see the bevel in the handle will...

I am happy to help you determine the correct screen door latch for your 2013 Keystone Laredo 294RK Travel Trailer. Unfortunately we do not have the ability to pull specific components from the OEM so I do not know the exact part number your TT was built with.
