Great product for safety on the road with trailer carrying a large pontoon boat. The lockout key worked as described, allowing us to slow as needed without locking the trailer breaks. I've now got a couple of lockout keys in case one or a couple get misplaced.

@Mark That would be a great option. You may be able to stick a small powerful magnet on the back side of the key which would allow the key to stay in the slot with the magnetic power.

The distance between the mounting holes of the Dexter coupler part # DX56FR is 3 inches so it would bolt right up to your trailer. For a manual lockout you could use with this you'd want part # DX94FR. Standard brake line kits like the part # DM5424 would work just fine.

The Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator part # DX89FR for disc or part # DX33FR for drum will work to replace both a UFP A-60 or A-75 Brake Actuator since we don't carry the UFP replacement breakaway setup. If you have an actuator like the Dexter # T4750620 you looked at, the only way to lockout the brakes is with the electric lockout. If you have a different model it is possible it has a spot for a key on the side like the # DX94FR which would work with an actuator like the # DX56FR. To replace your old Atwood surge brake actuator I recommend the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator - Weld On - Drum - 2" Ball - Primed - 7,500 lbs # DEX94FR which will still work with your 2" hitch ball and drum brakes. You will have no problem removing your current actuator and welding the # DEX94FR in its place. For a replacement I recommend the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator # DX83FR. Your UFP GDC-70 is the same as the A-70, and this actuator is a direct replacement for the UFP A-60 and A-70. This fits 3" x 5" straight tongues and is designed for drum brakes. If you want a manual lockout you will also need the # DX94FR. Based on the information I was able to find on your Demco DA603 it appears the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator for Drum # DX83FR or Disc # DX56FR brakes is going to be the best replacement. The disc brake actuator includes an electric lockout while the drum brake actuator would require a Lockout Key # DX94FR if you do not have free backing brakes. Both these have a 2" coupler and are rated for 7,500lbs to fit on a 3" by 5" trailer tongue.
