@Tobin Glad we had the right part to fix your coupler, Tobin! I too am all about fixing what I have =)

by:

I had a coupler with a bent latch, I thought I would have to replace the entire unit, then I found the repair page for couplers, I compared the parts and bought this one, it is a exact match to my coupler that is not branded. It took 3 minutes to install and adjust. When adjusting it I used a two in ball and tightened the nut on the repair part so it was snug with the ball in the coupler.

by:

I needed to replace a 1985 (34 year old) Fulton Fas-Loc coupler and once again, etrailer had me covered. Easy order, fast ship and works as advertised! Great job!

by:

great parts and service

Was what we wanted

by:

Works great!!! Fixed broken part.

by:

Very pleased exactly what I ordered fast shipping. The one I had was broke.

by:

This item made connecting a whole lot smoother. Once you get the tension set correctly on spring, it works great. Thanks E-Trailer

This hitch has performed as designed. It hold up to anything I can pull with my truck.

by:

After searching around for a repair kit I found this one and nobody even comes close to beating the price of E-trailer.

by:

Perfect fit, exact to the original.

by:

The item shiped and arrived in two days. It looks great and will solve my problem.
My coupler lock broke so I could not use my utility trailer. This will give me the service of my trailer again. Thanks, the product is very sturdy and appears very durable.

Eactly what I needed. Has worked very well. Good quality and excellent service.

by:

Locking mechanism where hook latches could be designed better. Snapper pins received were too large in diameter to slide into coupler handle hole. Service has always been excellent.

This replacement latch for curt couplers will take up to a 1/4 inch diameter pin such as part # K-8P.

by:

My utility trailer had a hitch handle that someone left in the up position and like always i got stepped on and bent over a week before my camping trip. The local auto parts stores didnt have anything. I found a complete replacement kit to basically rebuild the hitch. Price was great and fast enough for me to get done before my trip. Its been amost a year and we have put a few thousand miles on the trailer since and everything is still working great. (And my friends borrow it a lot and there rough on stuff) i would buy from etrailer again.

by:

Accidently backed over trailer coupling and it broke. This part solved the problem. Shipping was fast and price was great.

This product is still working great after a year since installed. Expecting many more years of use.

Installed in minutes, easy to adjust, still working great after 1 year, even though trailer is stored uncovered outside.

Good as new

by:

This product can help replace one that is worn out and difficult to latch anymore. The only problem we found was on the packaging, it said to follow instructions, yet there were no instructions. We figured it out though, as the old spring was severely past it's prime and through some old time country know how, we were able to get things to work. We were able to take our boat to the lake and bring it home again without problems after fixing it.

still working... no complaints

by:

I could not be happier. The install was a snap. Adjusting took minutes. The fit on my utility trailer was perfect. This was even better quality than the original, and given that my trailer was built circa 1980, that says a lot, as we were used to good products back then. Would gladly purchase again.

Still happy, still working very well. Will likely purchase from here again when I re-do the one on my popup camper.

by:

This trailer 2 inch hitch Curt coupler repair kit was very easy to install , and worked great the shipping was fast and it was priced right E trailer is a great place to shop why go any where else. Joe L.

by:

Totally saved me. When I accidentally broke this part on my trailer I thought that I pretty well had ruined the trailer. Finding this part on here and for such a reasonable price and fast shipping was outstanding. It was an easy install and has served me well. Frankly it works much better than the original hardware. So I consider it an accidental happy upgrade. Thanks etrailer!

by:

First time ordering from etrailer and I am very pleased. The price was great, I got the exact part I ordered and needed which was easy to choose because of the product description and great pictures of the product. The part even showed up a day early, with an email telling me the product was delivered.

Product is still working and holding up to the abuse of teenage boys. Thank you

by:

Hopefully this will do the trick, looks to be good quality and fix the problem.

by:

Fast service
Great price
Installed
in 5 minutes
Thanks

by:

Product was exactly as shown/written. Customer service terrific. Watched demo(s) of installation and read reviews. Definitely want to watch a demo if you have never attempted before. Spring is stiff and not much room to wiggle fingers. Crawled under to put together but no way. Stood above ball hitch and compressed spring just a bit and put bolt head assembly slightly through spring enough to slip lower female end over ball hitch rod and bingo it was in. Took less then 5 minutes from beginning to end even with my trying on my back in the rocks. Definitely would buy from here again.

by:

I broke the coupler on my trailer and when I purchased this one, I noticed right away it was much more sturdy. When I need to order something I always look for the quality of the product not the price.

  • Availability of Coupler Repair Kit for Discontinued Atwood Coupler
Hi Andy; Atwood has been gone for quite a while now so their couplers and repair kits are no longer around. The best option is to replace the coupler on your trailer. I recommend the Demco A-Frame Trailer Coupler # DM14793-81. This uses the eZ latch which makes for a quick and simple hookup and disconnect. It is also available in silver # DM14793-52. If you're looking for a more economic option we have the # CA-5210-B which is a weld-on coupler.

  • Replacement Coupler Recommendation for Damaged Shelby 5133
I wish we still had access to the Shelby replacement parts but since they aren't currently around anymore there's nothing we offer that I can guarantee will fit. I recommend instead getting a new coupler such as # CT-3001-Z. I've left a link to a video review of this coupler as well as a link to our page with each of our 2" ball couplers for you to take a look at.

  • Locating the VIN Number on a Forest River Cherokee CKT21BH Travel Trailer
The VIN on your Forest River Cherokee CKT31BH should be printed into a sticker on the frame just behind the coupler. This is normally found on the driver's side of the travel trailer. The VIN is normally located in a couple of places, so I also recommend checking the inside of your cabinets as that is also a common location. If you cannot find it but happen to find the Serial number, then the manufacturer can help track it down.

  • Is Replacement Latch Assembly Available for Valley 5131 Coupler
Hey Richard, thanks for reaching out! We've referenced to others trying to use the Curt Coupler Repair Kit # C25194, but we don't have a way to confirm this since Valley went out of business quite a while ago. Your best bet is to swap out your coupler entirely. I don't have any specs of what your coupler looks like but if you let me know what it looks like I'd be more than happy to help you choose a replacement from our linked selection.

  • What Size Channel Does My Trailer Coupler Have?
Hello Gary. The channel width would be the width of the frame that the coupler installs on. I am attaching an image of the Bulldog Collar-Lok Coupler w/ Pin # BD028243 so you can see what measurement they are referencing. In the image provided this one would be a 3" channel because that is the inside to inside measurement. I have also included a link the all the coupler latch repair kits that we offer.

  • Availability of Latch Repair Kit for Fulton A-Frame Coupler for 2 inch Ball
Fulton hasn't offered as 2 inch ball compatible A-Frame coupler in some years, so they no longer offer a repair kit. I'm sorry to say, I'd give a pretty good chance that the # CA-5100-RK would be a likely fit, but I couldn't guarantee it'll fit. To be absolutely sure, you might think about replacing the coupler with something like # CA-5210-B.

  • Latch Repair Kit for a Fulton Trailer Coupler
The Coupler Repair Kit part # C25194 is designed for Curt trailer couplers that use a 2" hitch ball. Since you have a Fulton trailer coupler I cannot recommend you use this kit. Instead, I recommend taking a look at part # F670801 which is for 44125W and 44150W series couplers or part # F520801 which is for 308 series couplers. If you do not have either of these then the only option I have for you would be to replace the coupler as the repair kits are not universal. I have attached a list...

If the latch on your Atwood surge brake actuator, like part # DM72VR, is fixed in any position start off by using some lubricant like WD-40, PB Blaster, or UltraLube Biobased Spray Lubricant and let it sit for a while. You may have to do this a number of times before it loosens up. Hitting it with a rubber mallet after the lubricant has time to work could help as well. We still haven't and I wouldn't hold my breath waiting to find out. Most of the time when customers try out stuff they don't end up letting us know if it ended up working out or not. I'd suspect no though. I recommend simply replacing the coupler with the Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # CT-3001-Z which has a 3,500 lb capacity, fits a 2" channel and 2" hitch ball.
