  • Recommended Trailer Coupler For Trailer Tongue That Is 2-1/2 inches Wide
The closest we come to the 2-1/2 inch center to center measurement of the mounting holes you have on your coupler and trailer are 2-1/4 inches, just as you said you have found. The trailer coupler I recommend is part # CT-2002-Z. This is a 2,000-lb coupler that works with a 1-7/8 inch ball and the mounting holes are 2-1/4 inches apart. With the holes on your trailer tongue you would only be off by 1/8 inch on each. You could ream the holes a fraction and use this coupler. You can have...

  • Replacement Trailer Coupler for 2-1/2 Inch Channel with 1-7/8 Inch Ball Coupler
The only coupler we have that is a fit for your 1-7/8 inch ball and 2-1/2 inch channel is the Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # CT-2002-Z. The bolt holes on this are 2-1/4 inches on center instead of 2-1/2 inches.

  • What is the Height of the Sides of the Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # CT-2002-Z
I went out to the warehouse and found the the outside of the Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # CT-2002-Z measures about 1-15/16" while the inside (to the curve) measures about 1-1/2". I have attached a diagram for demonstration.

  • Best Replacement for Valley Trailer Coupler Model 5105
In order to replace a Valley Trailer Coupler Model 5105 you can use the Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler part # CT-2002-Z which fits a 1-7/8" hitch ball, is designed for 2-1/2" wide trailer tongue, and offers bolt-on installation. Unfortunately, there aren't any trailer coupler repair kits for this model and they are not universal.

  • Coupler for 2-1/2-Inch Straight Trailer Tongue
We have all sorts of trailer couplers including straight tongue couplers that will fit a 2-1/2-inch channel tongue that is often found on a boat trailer. You can see all of these standard couplers on the linked page. For a 2-inch ball size you can use 3500-lb coupler # DL13847 or # F222500301 which are both bolt on installation. If you need a coupler for a 1-7/8-inch ball size instead use part # CT-2002-Z which is rated for 2000-lbs. This is also a bolt on item.

  • 2-Inch Ball Straight Tongue Coupler for Home-Built Ice House Trailer with 2-1/2-Inch-Wide Tongue
We have three straight-tongue trailer couplers like # CT-2002-Z that will fit a 2-inch ball and mount on a 2-1/2-inch wide channel tongue. All of these are rated for 3500-lbs and can be seen on the linked page. If you need to drill a hole in either the trailer tongue (to match the coupler) or in the new coupler (to match the hole in the trailer tongue) it is kind of a toss up since the home-built trailer has no warranty from a manufacturer. But since the coupler is a fairly inexpensive...

  • Replacement Towbar, Coupler, and Caster Wheel Availability for an LCI-851T Trailer
I found a parts list online but it looks like the only thing we carry that would fit your LCI-851T trailer is a replacement coupler. We have 1-7/8" hitch ball couplers that fit a 2" channel # CT-2001-Z, 2-1/2" channel # CT-2002-Z, and a 3" channel # CT-2003-Z depending on the size of the towbar. We don't have any towbar (I-beams) or caster wheels for your trailer though so if this is an older trailer you may consider investing in a new trailer that you can easily find replacement parts for.

  • Straight Tongue Trailer Coupler for Harbor Freight Folding Trailer 90154
The only straight tongue trailer coupler we offer for a 1-7/8" hitch ball that fits a 2-1/2" wide channel is the Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler part # CT-2002-Z. The bolt holes on this coupler are spaced 2-1/4" apart. Unfortunately, I don't have the specs on your trailer so you will need to measure the bolt hole spacing yourself and compare that to the above. We do not have a repair kit for the trailer coupler you have now.

  • Options For Straight Tongue Channel Coupler For 1-7/8" Hitch Ball
Hello Burris, We have straight tongue channel couplers for a 1-7/8" hitch ball, though none with bolt holes that are 5" apart. Each of the couplers has holes 2-1/4" apart, so you can still use them if you're drill new holes. I know it's not what you asked for but I at least wanted to give you the option, and if you're okay with that, the right one will depend on the width of your trailer tongue. - 2" Tongue: Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # CT-2001-Z - 2-1/2" Tongue: Channel Tongue Trailer...

  • Coupler Needed for a 2-1/2 Inch Channel and 1-7/8 Inch Hitch Ball
I believe I have the coupler for you. Check out part # CT-2002-Z. This coupler fits a 2-1/2 inch wide channel and it accepts a 1-7/8 inch diameter hitch ball. This is a trigger latch style coupler that has a weight capacity of 2,000 lbs. There are mounting holes on the top and sides of the coupler that are 2-1/4 inches apart on center and have a 5/16 inch diameter.

  • Replacement Coupler Options for a 1963 Boat Trailer With 1-7/8" Fulton Coupler
The only Fulton coupler repair kits we carry are the # F670801 and # F640801 which are for much heavier duty couplers. Due to the age of your trailer you will most likely have to replace your coupler unless you can find the parts from a used coupler. I do see we have a few options depending on the width of the pole tongue on your trailer. We have a 2" # CT-2001-Z, 2-1/2" # CT-2002-Z or 3" # CT-2003-Z option. All of these are capable of bolting on to the tongue, have a 1-7/8" ball fitment...

  • Difference Between Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler CT-2001-Z and CT-2002-Z
Hi David; the # CT-2001-Z and # CT-2002-Z are similar but not the same. The one difference is the channel width. The # CT-2001-Z has a 2" channel width and the # CT-2002-Z has a 2-1/2" channel width.
