T-fitting lets you use an auxiliary propane cylinder to power appliances so you won't deplete your camper's tank. Quick-disconnect port allows for easy hook up of the supply hose. Disposable bottle port lets you hook up a small appliance.

Features:

  • T-fitting kit lets you connect a backup auxiliary cylinder to your fifth-wheel or travel trailer propane system
    • No need to break up camp to go refill your onboard ASME tank
  • Type 1 fittings install in-line between your tank valve and pigtail to your pressure regulator
  • Model 250 quick-disconnect port let you hook up and disconnect without hand tightening
    • When valve on your ASME tank is closed, can function as an inlet for an auxiliary tank
    • When valve on your tank is open, can function as a QD outlet to fuel an appliance
  • Male #600 (1"-20) port attaches to extension hose to fuel appliances
    • Eliminates need for wasteful disposable cylinders that quickly run out of gas
  • Shut-off levers on quick-disconnect ports allow you to easily shut off gas supply
    • Ball valve prevents disconnection when lever is in the "on" position to keep gas contained
  • Supply hose with male quick-disconnect and male POL fittings is included to attach auxiliary tank
    • Close valve on your RV's primary tank, attach POL to backup tank, and attach to Sturgi-Stay
    • Designed for high-pressure and high flow without going into bypass mode
  • Durable brass fittings approved for LP gas only
    • UL and CSA certified
  • Made in the USA

Specs:

  • Temperature range: -40 F to 350 F
  • Maximum pressure rating: 250 psi
  • Supply hose dimensions: 72" long x 1/4" inner diameter
  • Supply hose fittings:
    • 1/4" Male Model 250 quick-disconnect
    • POL tank connection
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Note: When using quick-disconnect ports for cooking, bear in mind that the propane pressure is still high, as the Sturgi-Stay is installed before the regulator. Outdoor cooktops, grills, or other appliances will often require a regulator. Check your equipment to see if one is required.

Fitting Diagram

Make camping more fun and relaxing. Moving your 5th-wheel camper or travel trailer once you've gotten settled at the campsite is a real chore. No one wants to have to pack up, unplug, and go refill the propane cylinders, just to come back to the site and set everything up all over again. This Sturgi-Stay T-fitting lets you connect an auxiliary cylinder to your setup using the included fill hose. As a result, you can run your appliances off of the propane in the cylinder rather than using up the LP gas from your trailer's setup. When you run out, just refill the auxiliary cylinder and hook it up again.

The disposable cylinder port on the Sturgi-Stay provides a connection point for a small, portable appliance or propane tree. This way you can power a grill, heater, or other accessory without needing to use a 1-lb throwaway cylinder. Simply attach an adapter hose (sold separately) to your appliance and then to the disposable cylinder port on the T-fitting.

Quick Disconnect Port

QDs

The Sturgi-Stay features a quick-disconnect port. This port connects to the included fill hose from the auxiliary cylinder. This quick-disconnect port lets you connect and disconnect a hose without any tools. Simply snap the quick-disconnect hose into the port and it will stay locked in until you release it. To remove the hose, just pull back on the collar of the port. The port also features a gas shut-off lever that allows you to completely cut off the propane supply to that port to keep gas contained when no hose is attached. Be sure to move the lever to the "off" position before disconnecting the hose.

The item is of good quality and will serve the purpose intended. The Hose is actually too short to connect to the 100 lb. tank that I want to use. Routing it down thru the bottom of the tank compartment and out of site and with the tank door shut, the hose is not long enough to connect. Wished it had bee 10' long.

Perfecto solution to add a larger propane tank to our fifth wheel RV !!

by:

This product is working our perfectly. Easy to install and set up.

by:

I ordered 2 different ones from camping world and both were wrong. This worked amazing. Thr problem with most of these they don't hook up to the propane tank and the hook up from the camper to the propane tank. This one you unhook one of your propane tanks and hook this up and then hook the propane hook up to the fitting. Simple.

by:

I purchased this for hooking up a 100 lbs propane tank to my trailer for cold weather camping in Alaska and Canada. This kit worked great to tap into my current trailer system, giving me the capacity I needed for long trips in the cold. It was easy to install and remove. I still use it with the large tank when doing long-term camping even in warmer weather. It's just so convenient to not have to make so many trips to fill the tank.

by:

The product was exactly what I needed to complete the propane system for hunting this fall. Wish would not have taken so long to get.

Excellent! Just what I needed to manage the propane on my 5th wheel.

Good of you to follow up. I live in an area that historically can be earthquake prone, occasionally has severe weather, and there is a volcano nearby thay still has an active magma chamber. The products I purchased were sort of for disaster preparedness, and as such have only had limited use. But the quality seems quite good, and the use the items have gotten has been without issue. To give you an analogy that I feel applies, I'm a gunsmith and I often talk with customers about the magazines that feed ammunition to their firearms. I tell them if they have a good quality magazine they'll never notice how good it is, because if it's doing its job properly you never notice it, never think about it. That's how your products seem to be. They're good because I never even have reason to think about them, because they just work the way they're supposed to. So by all means, keep up the good work supplying customers with quality products, and thanks again for following up. Customer service is something that is becoming exceedingly rare, and I for one really appreciate it when a business shows signs of good customer service. Take care and I hope business is well.

by:

This was the first company in a long time I've dealt with that had No audimated telephone service! There were people that spoke And understood English! They were on top of there game and were letting me know exactly when my parts would arrive by telephone in a friendly manner! There are so many companies out there that need to take lessons from etrailer. This is how I run my business and how very business should be run. The parts were very well described and photographed! There is No reason to shop anywhere else in my opinion. [sites] and other internet based businesses need to clean up there acts I understand it's about the bottom dollar but being kind and person to person interaction is still needed in society and the sales industry! Etrailer has got it RIGHT!!!

simple to use and foolproof. Very cost effective. 20lb. propane tank equal to $100 of 1 gallon tanks.

This product is exactly what I was looking for to use a 100 lb. bottle without having to replumb anything. I can now use a 100 lb. bottle without removing my 20 lb. bottles. Very happy with my etrailer purchase, it was fast shipping and customer service updated me with tracking info very promptly. Satisfied customer!!

by:

I have not used it yet but I am sure this will allow me to run my 5th wheel on a 100lb propane tank which is much cheaper to fill

by:

Hose end going into tank has a little ball bearing check valve in it, within a week it fell apart, when I took the hose off to fill the tank the spring flew out, the ball bearing flew into the rocks never to be seen from again... tossed the entire thing in the garbage.

by:

Just what I needed to hook up my propane BBQ from my trailer, which didn't come equipped with a quick coupler.

by:

Just what the Doctor ordered, this appliance makes hooking an external supply tank a breeze.

  • How to Connect 100 lb Tank to Dual Tank RV Propane Setup
To add a 100 lb tank to your two tanks, I recommend the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting w Hose - Type 1 Valve - Quick Disconnect, Disposable Cylinder Ports # 103615. This will allow you to connect the red fitting to one of your tanks and the pigtail from that tank to the brass side of the T-fitting. Then you will use the POL side of the 6 foot hose to connect to your 100 lb tank and the quick connect end to the T-fitting.

  • Propane T-Fitting Needed to Connect Auxiliary Tank to RV Propane System
It sounds like you're wanting to use a T-Fitting that is located on the outlet side of your regulator. All of the tees that we carry install directly to the propane tank side of things (before the regulator) so your best bet is to use a kit like part # 103615 which will tee in pre-regulator but then also has a quick-disconnect fitting that will connect directly to a propane tank. This means that you will just use the hose supplied in this kit to connect to your propane tank, and your RV...

If you are certain that you have the valve open on the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting in kit # 103615 and that your 100-lb tank has enough propane to deliver sufficient gas pressure then I would check the connections on the travel trailer. If you refer to the linked video for this kit you will note that the valve is open when it is lined up with the black fitting on the T. If it is at a right angle to that part it is closed. Pressure from the tank will vary a lot depending on the ambient...
