MB Sturgis Propane Fittings - 100575-48-MBS

  • Hoses
  • Pigtail Hoses
  • 1/4 Inch - MIF
  • Type 1 - Female
  • MB Sturgis

Pigtail makes the connection from the propane tanks on your trailer to the propane regulator on your trailer. Check valve prevents hazardous backflow leakage and is suitable for dual-tank setups.

Features:

  • Propane pigtail connects your propane cylinder to a regulator
    • Used for single or dual tank setups on the front of your travel trailer
  • Female Type 1 fitting connects to the valve on your propane cylinder
  • Male Inverted flare connects to a propane regulator
  • Built-in bypass mode shuts gas off when flow reaches maximum capacity for safety
    • Thermal shut-off device turns off gas flow in extreme heat caused by open flame
    • Excess-flow safety device limits gas flow in the event of a severe leak
  • Durable thermoplastic hose and brass fittings approved for LP gas only
    • Rated for high pressure and high flow rate to handle unregulated propane
    • UL569 and ANSI Z21-81 certified
  • Made in the USA

Specs:

  • Temperature range: -40 F to 140 F
  • Hose dimensions: 48" long x 1/4" inner diameter
  • Hose fittings:
    • Type 1 tank connection
    • 1/4" Male inverted flare
  • Maximum pressure rating: 350 psi
  • Maximum flow capacity: 450,000 Btu per hour
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Bypass Mode for Safety

This Type 1 connector will go into bypass mode if the flow rate surpasses the maximum flow capacity for this connector, which is 450,000 Btu per hour. A ball inside of the fitting will push an internal spring down, pressing firmly against the bottom of the fitting to shut off the flow of gas.

When choosing a Type 1 connector, consider your overall propane demands and choose a connector with a flow rate that just exceeds it. That way, you won't trigger the bypass mode during normal use, but it will trigger in the event of a leak. If the bypass valve engages, stop using gas and start checking your connections for leaks.

Just what we needed to add an outside tank. Having propane delivered at our park for our motor home was very expensive. The cost is almost double just for the amount of propane used but oh, the fees! Our unit needed to opted off per my husband so we ordered a fill up next time the truck came around. Well we only needed less than 3 gallons but paid $68 for the “fill-up”. Had the RV service set up the bypass, purchased this hose and save lots of money.

This was the wrong pigtail hose and I will need to return it

Sorry to hear it didnt work for you! I have already sent your information to our customer service team and they will be reaching out to you soon.

Excellent replacement (same quality as original) for the short pigtail that came on our single tank. Allowed us to put a plastic cover over the tank without cutting.

Year later, just fine.

I could not find the correct fitting to convert my very old 100 lb propane tank to the newer type 1 connection with a 1/4 inch flare like fitting. I tried all the big box stores but found it at etrailer! Price including shipping was very reasonable. They even had varying lengths for me to consider. Tom

by:

I bought two of these to attach to my tanks on my concession trailer. I needed something long enough to meet in the middle as my tanks are located on the far left and right of the front of the trailer and these fit the need. They are good quality and leave me some extra slack to move my regulator around.

by:

Still wirking good for me. Replaced one from [online store] that broke quickly. Filed a tiny bit off the cfitting so my 7/16 fit better.

by:

These high flow pigtails work perfectly for my setup.

by:

Well made and it is made in the USA!!! I think this one will hold up well.

by:

This hose assembly works great and it enables me to use the extra length to hook up an outside tank.
Thank you for carrying products that work.
Barney

  • Recommended 3'+ Propane Supply Hose for Pop-Up Camper
If you're searching for a hose to go from the tank to the regulator then you'll need the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail part # 100575-36-MBS for 3' long or part # 100575-48-MBS for 4' long. Please note, the pigtail hoses use an inverted flare and most regulators use national pipe taper (NPT) so if you don't already have the brass inserts you'll need them as well, the MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Fitting part # 204120-MBS.

  • Hoses That Fit JR Products Automatic Changeover Regulator 37207-30395
You will need hoses with a 1/4" male inverted flare to connect to the JR Products Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-30395. I was unable to find the hose size that connected to the Winntec you have, but if they don't fit, then they wouldn't be 1/4" male inverted flare, as that's the correct size for the # 37207-30395. So you will need new hoses, and can choose the length you need from the following, each of which has the correct fitting to connect to your regulator: - 1...

  • Replacement Regulator for MEGR-1632-CFF
You could use the MB Sturgis Vertical Regulator part # 108220 in place of what you have now and it would work great. This is an LP regulator like what you are replacing and can support up to 400k BTU. We have 4 foot long pigtails too with the part # 100575-48-MBS.

The longest MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail we offer with stainless overbraid and a 1/4" male inverted flare is 3' or 36", part # 100833-36. We do however have the length you need of 4' or 48" but only with the rubber hose, part # 100575-48-MBS.

  • 4 Foot Hose to Connect Propane Tank on Travel Trailer to Regulator
We have 48 inch hoses to go from a propane tank to a regulator but your fittings don't seem to match standard sizes. A trailer normally has tanks with a Type 1 connection and the standard inlet on regulators is 1/4 inch NPT. Send me some pictures if yours seem different. A 48 inch hose that works for the standard fittings is part # 100575-48-MBS. For this hose you also need an adapter, part # 204120-MBS. Ths converts the inlet on the regulator from 1/4 inch NPT to 1/4 inch FIF. The only...
