Put these on my 2004 Dodge Dakota to pull an eight-foot-wide travel trailer.
These mirrors extend the mirror to at least three times the distance of the factory mirrors and should make lane changing, etc. much safer. They attach solidly and I don't see how they will vibrate, but I have not used them yet. The straps took a little tinkering to figure out, and the instructions on the box state that they are factory set for the driver's side. Neither mirror was set this way. The ratchet is against the mirror as they came. It was changeable without tools by unspooling the strap, pressing the release while pulling the ratchet winder. Move the release to the notch on the other side and insert the ratchet wheel. Re-thread the strap and the ratchet is away from the mirror now. Etrailer is great to order from as I equip my new trailer. This order was shipped within a couple hours and arrived two days early than expected.

Work great. Visibility is much improved as is safety in being able to see following traffic. Lane changes and backing were much easier. In use there was no vibration, even with trucks passing. The lenses have remained clear. Excellent product in use.

@LaneS They aren't the best looking option, but they sure do work great! Thank you!

I am using the mirrors on my 2019 F150 and they are working as expected.

They have done the job I purchased them for, however the straps damaged the clear coat on my dorrs.

by:

Just opened the package so have not installed. Shipment arrived on time. My initial impression is these are well made, certainly heavier material than I expected, and overall quality appears very good. I like the design and many adjustment options. I expect these mirrors will certainly do well.

by:

I love these mirrors best I've ever bought. I strap them on and get no shake or wind noise. I can remove the mirror without removing strap. I would highly recommend these!!!

by:

A little cumbersome to mount. Once done the mvery acceptable. acceptable.

by:

A little tricky to figure out, but worth the effort. Test drive had no vibration. Thanks for the quick delivery.

by:

Shipped in original packaging, not sturdy box. Caused minor damage, not worth sending back for. All else was fine.

The strap tightening has failed and Im now using a cargo strap to hold them in place.

Mirrors work great

by:

These mirrors work great as a temporary solution for towing. I don’t tow often with this truck, so I didn’t want to permanently install large mirrors. These seem sturdy, and are easy to install when I need them.

by:

Great quality , shipping was quick too !

by:

The mirrors seem like they will work fine, but it took 2 of us to install them, as I did not understand the instructions, but thankfully my brother figured it out.

by:

Look good, not psckaged very well

by:

I purchased the extension mirrors because I heard BAD reviews from the kind that hooks onto your mirrors on your vehicle. These extension mirrors adjust in so many ways that will fit any vehicle with little movement when on the road. I highly recommend these mirrors!!

by:

not appropriate for my 2019 Honda Ridge line

by:

Happy with the product and with the ser vice.

by:

I have an older Dodge Dakota with which I am pulling a new small travel trailer. Of course there are no extendable mirrors on my truck, and those ones that strap to the mirrors are not very solid. I bought these to give me more peace of mind and they work great. I have traveled 100 miles or so with them on and they stay just where they should!

by:

Bought these extendable mirrors for my Toyota Sequoia. They worked excellent and only thing you have to remember is to keep them tight. Twice I had to stop because the mirrors kept sliding down and down and down. Totally my fault and once I learned you had to crank them down (with help of wrench) all was good. Make sure the vehicle is clean when you mount them otherwise you could wear the paint pretty easy.

by:

These worked perfectly for me pulling my travel trailer. Easy attachment and removal. Little to no vibration while driving.

by:

I really hate these mirrors they don't stay were ypi put them and bounce a ton

by: 04/10/2023

These are a good value. They worked well on my 2000 Land Cruiser. It helped taking out the guess work with lane changes. Instillation was fairly intuitive. However I almost lost the glass in one unit because it wasn’t completely pushed into the housing. It has a snap in design. It’s just something to check when unpacking.

by:

Sold trailer and bought a class C

by:

Quick shipping and well packaged.

by:

The mirrors arrived earlier than I expected. They are very robust and well made. I have a small Sonoma pick up that is only 5' wide and I have to pull a trailer with a water tank that is over 7' wide to a remote area. The mirrors extend well beyond giving me the secure wide angle rear view.

Michael

Good. I only used them once to transport a water tank. They worked great and fit my truck nicely.

I've been using these for about a year now towing a camper full time. I have to tighten them occasionally but otherwise they are perfect. I have had so many people say these are the best side mirrors they have ever seen and I agree.

Some things though:
*they rust. sad day. I wish I put a coating on them. next time.
*they pull at and warp your rubber seals around the windows. This means you have to move the mirrors around to different positions to prevent too much damage.

  • Universal Towing Mirrors for a 2004 Dodge Dakota
The Universal Door Mount Towing Mirror # WM6600 will fit on your 2004 Dodge Dakota as long as there is no cladding or molding at the bottom of the door. Remember that it is only 1 mirror and not a set. For a set use # WM6600-2. The mirror extends out by about 17 inches but because it is mounted on the door you can see more of what is directly behind you. On the other hand the mirror is further from the driver than towing mirrors that mount to the stock mirrors so it could possibly be...
