Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Romik RB2-S hitch step for your two inch hitches, it's gonna be 36 inches wide in a stainless steel construction. So folks, this hitch step will make it easy to get in and out of your truck bed or just access maybe the cargo area on your vehicle. It has a nice textured surface with what I call little ribs inside of it here and that's gonna give you a nice sure footing to get up and on. Now the end caps here, those are not to be stepped on at all. They go about to here on out, so make sure you're not stepping on the ends there as they could potentially break off.
They're just a plastic covering to keep that nice curved slick look there. Now you're gonna get an anti-rattle bracket and the anti-rattle bolt and pin here to hold everything in place. So that comes with it. Now it is a quick and easy installation. Again, it's polished stainless steel and it's lightweight and it's gonna resist corrosion.
Now this does match the Romik RB2-S running boards, so it's gonna give that same look to match the running boards on the side of your vehicle. So here's the tube here and everything. You've got three different holes on the side for that hitch pin to go through, depending on your location and your needs. Now, some quick dimensions while I've got it over here. As far as from the back here to the end, I got 5 1/2 inches.
So from the back here to the end of the shank there, 5 1/2 inches. So that's how far max that you have on this shank. Now if you go from the center of the farthest hole here to this edge, I got 4 1/2. Center of the middle hole to the farthest edge, 3 1/2, center of the first hole closest here, I got 2 1/2. So an inch spaced out on those.
And as far as an overall, like I said, it was 36 inches. Lemme zoom back out so I can show you that measurement. So 36 inches side to side. And the step itself is a six inch wide step. Again, just like the running boards on the step on the Romix. So it does have some weight too. It's very beefy. Again, stainless steel construction. It's actually nice and thick. It's kind of hard to see there, but I'd say the whole thing is probably a good inch thick. Now one last thing to note before we go, folks, is this may interfere potentially with any kind of parking sensors that you have, being that it's right there close to the bumper. Depending on where your parking sensors are located, it could interfere with them and give you some kind of a indicator on your dash, maybe saying something's in your way if you start to back up or something. So just keep that in mind. Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look today. 500 pound rating again, for a two inch by two inch hitch shank. This is the Romik RB2-S hitch step. I'm Steven. Have a good one.
