Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Phoenix USA Steel Underbody Tool Box for your truck or trailer. Now as you notice, this tool box does have a polished stainless steel door, so it has a really good mirror finish to it. As a result, you're gonna see how some of the magic is done here in my studio here, so you're gonna be able to see what's going on behind the cameras there, but that's just what you have to deal with with a nice, shiny stainless steel door like what we have here. But if you are looking for a strong, secure, and weather-resistant underbody tool box for your truck or trailer, this might be a great box for you to consider. This box can be used on flatbeds, trailers, utility trucks, and other heavy duty vehicles.

And since this is an underbody tool box, it doesn't take up the bed space in your truck or your trailer, but it's gonna keep that storage accessible and out of the way. Now a box like this is typically designed for contractors, truckers, landscapers, and trailer owners who are looking for a secure, out-of-the-way storage. So this is gonna be ideal to keep items such as your tie downs, tools, chains, tool boxes, and other equipment. Before we go on any further, let me give you some measurements. So looking at the overall length from end to end, we are sitting right at 48 inches long.

And then looking at the width or the depth, and I'm gonna be measuring from the back all the way to the front of the door here, so it looks like we're sitting pretty close to 18 inches. And then, looking at the height from bottom to top, again, that's going to be 18 inches. Now I wanna point out that this does not include installation brackets or installation hardware because that's going to be specific to where and how you mount this. So you would have to pick up the brackets and the hardware that's gonna work best for your particular installation, just so you're aware of that. Now this is built to last with a heavy duty 13 gauge steel construction.

And if you notice, the body of the box itself has a really nice gloss, black powder coat finish that's going to make this corrosion-resistant. And of course, as I mentioned, our door here is stainless steel. Let me give you a slightly lower angle here. So it's a polished stainless steel, so it's going to look great wherever you install this, whether that's on your truck or your trailer. It's got a really nice finish to it.

The box itself weighs about a little over 100 pounds. So keep that in mind. When you are wanting to install this, make sure you've got the support that you need. But as you can see, I do have just a regular size tool box here, just to kind of give you an idea of the space you're gonna have inside. This is going to give you about 9 cubic feet of storage space for your gear, for your tool boxes and things like that. And if you notice, we have these cables here that are going to support this door, and it's going to keep the door from opening more than 90 degrees. They are removable and it looks like they're also adjustable as well. Here on the brackets here on the door, you've got two different positions, two different holes where you can run the carabiner through. So you could bring the door up just a little bit higher if you didn't want it to open up as low as I have it here. But carabiners on each end of the cable, so secure the cable itself. And so plenty of storage, I also wanted to point out that around the perimeter here, we do have an automotive grade seal that's going to keep your gear safe from weather, road spray, dirt, dust, debris, moisture, all that kind of stuff. So your gear will be protected inside. The door obviously swings down and it's a pretty robust door, so I think it's gonna hold up well for you. And then, we have this flush-mounted T handle as you can see. And underneath the T handle, we do have our keyhole. So I mentioned this is going to give you secure storage. And so I went ahead and inserted one of the keys. And as you can see, when you lock it, you're not gonna be able to rotate that T handle. And what I like about that handle is it does cover up the keyhole. So it's gonna keep that lock, clean, and clear of debris. And then when you're ready to unlock it, just give it a turn, and then that'll open right back up there for you. And what I like about this handle is when you close it, it is flush. So you're not gonna have to worry about getting anything caught on it or anything like that. It's gonna be completely out of your way. So two keys will be included. Both of 'em obviously are gonna work that lock so you have one to keep on your person and one for spare.
