Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. And today we're gonna be taking a look at Romik's RZR Hitch step. This is gonna be made to match their RZR series running board, so if you already have those on your vehicle, this is gonna be a direct match and give you a nice cohesive appearance around your vehicle if you're looking to get an easier step up into your truck bed or your roof. But this might just match the style of your vehicle, say you've got a lot of chrome accents and you like the chrome step, this could be a good fit for you, too. So let's check it out. Now as far as the construction goes, it's a mix of stainless steel and aluminum, so you're gonna have pretty good corrosion resistance.
The top of the running board here has these rubberized grips, which come up a fair bit. That's gonna help give you a little bit more traction since the flat surface here is a little bit shorter than some of their other models. It tapers off towards the front and it tapers off to the side where you've got these plastic end caps. You don't wanna step on those. So, everything in silver here is your usable space.
Now, actually using this step, I do really like how wide it is. At the widest part, it's close to about 32 inches and the actual step depth is around 5 1/2 inches. So it gives you a fair amount of room for your shoes. I will say that taper off at the outer edge there does make it feel like a smaller step than it actually is, but the width is really nice because it can get both feet up here, access my roof really easily, or get into my truck bed a lot easier. That construction is gonna be paired up with a nice anti-rattle device to keep the step pretty solid.
It will move on the edges a little bit here and it's gonna give you a 500-pound capacity, so I don't feel like it's really going anywhere while I'm up here. Now, most hitch steps out there are gonna be something like a black powder-coated steel and they're gonna be really functional and maybe not look the best. So for me, where this one maybe lacks a bit in function, I don't think the grip is as good and the size isn't as nice as some of the other steps they make, the look is where it's gonna make up for that because if you've got the matching running boards or you just like the chrome that you have all over here and it's gonna match well with your vehicle, you're probably not gonna find a style very similar to that in any other of the hitch steps we carry here at etrailer. Maybe a few other options, but this is gonna be one of those few.
