Should etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Stabilizer e99007 Install Above or Below Shank
Updated 10/22/2025 | Published 03/27/2025 >
Question:
etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Stabilizer for 2 Hitches - Vinyl Coated Steel Part Number: e99007 The review video states this can only be installed with the black plate on top, the PDF installation instructions show just the opposite black plate on bottom and the video on choosing the best anti-rattle device says you can install it either way depending on clearances. So will either way work or do you recommend one versus the other? Thanks for your help!

Hey Dave, sorry about the confusion! Realistically you can install the etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Stabilizer # e99007 in either orientation so it's up to you. If you would rather it hold the ball mount down you'd put the plate on the bottom and vice versa.
