Will etrailer D-Shape Anti-Rattle Locking Hitch Pin e43JR Work With Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier?

Will this work as a better locking pin for,the Roadmaster RM-195225-S spare tire carrier I just purchased?

Hello Robert, thanks for reaching out. I do have a locking pin that will work for your Roadmaster Hitch Spare Tire Mount # RM-195225, but the etrailer D-Shape Anti-Rattle Locking Hitch Pin # e43JR will not work with that. The # e43JR is a D-shaped pin designed specifically for the Benton brand bike racks and carriers which all have a D-shaped pin hole. The Roadmaster carrier has a standard round pin hole, and while the D-shape pin technically would fit, it is just not intended for a round hole.
That said, we do have a hitch lock that will work great with the Roadmaster carrier, the Curt Trailer Hitch Lock # C23519. This is a stainless steel locking pin.
If you are wanting to add anti-rattle to this setup, it would have to be a separate part from the hitch lock. For that I recommend the following:
- Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2" Trailer Hitches # RM-061
