Can you Use a Standard Pin and Clip with the etrailer Cargo Carrier

Can the threaded hitch pin be substituted for a standard pin? I have a locking pin Id like to use to secure the rack. I imagine this would require removing the threaded , preferably without having to tap the hole with a drill.

The Flint Hill Goods Cargo Carrier # FHG49ZR is designed to be used with the threaded hitch pin that it comes with, so a standard, non-threaded hitch pin won't work.
The threaded pin is used as an ant-rattle mechanism. If you're looking for a bolt with a lock, we have one that will work with this cargo carrier. It's the Threaded Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin Lock for etrailer Cargo Carriers, part # e43JR.
