Video Transcript for Comprehensive Review: Hopkins Never Fade Multipurpose Bubble Level

Adam: What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Hopkins Never Fade Level. So we do have some options when it comes to leveling something like our RV here, but there's some that are going to just be hard mounted that you're just going to keep on the outside, just to keep as a reference point, whenever you are either just kind of bunking up at a campsite, or just putting this in a parking lot for the winter. Whatever it may be, this one isn't going to be a hard mount. Yes, we can put some dual sided tape and stick it wherever we need.But I really do think this is going to be a little bit more handy whenever it can just fit into your pocket really easily. So we're going to go over some of these situations where you might need a level.First thing we'll do is differentiate it from the ones you see here.

As you can tell, obviously, this one's hard mounted, this one is just free. But this one right here is only really going to take care of the leveling from the very front to the very back of your guys' motor home or RV, but we need two of them.So we have one here and then we also have one underneath for the side to side. This one that I have in my hand right here, the Never Fade is going to be able to not only do the vertical leveling, but also your horizontal leveling as well. If you guys have a table inside and you're wanting to make it nice and level for a game, we can also get a surface level out of this one as well. So I definitely think we have more options when it comes to what we're going to be leveling.

And of course, more option of where we can put it just because it's really, really small. And we can just keep it even in the center console of our rig.I'm going to go ahead and give you guys an example of surface leveling. I am sitting at my table in an RV here. So, as you guys can see, our bubble's not in the middle, which isn't necessarily what we want. So we can compensate with this a couple of different ways.We can either maybe move our rig a little bit just to maybe get it on a more level surface.

Or if that's not an option for you guys, you can go ahead and use the leveling systems on your RV or camper underneath to compensate and try to get that little bubble on the center of our level.So if you guys are wanting to just hard mount this somewhere with some two sided tape, just so you guys can walk in the door and know if your guys' trailer's level, just pick a good spot, nice central location, ideally in the middle.And we can go ahead and just put it here. So we don't have to worry about losing it. And we always know where to look if we want to see if our trailer's level. Just to show you guys how small this thing is, we are going to have a dimension of about one and three quarters by one and three quarters. And it's only going to be about a quarter inch thick.So to give you guys an idea of how big that is.

It's a little bit bigger than the key fob on our Ford here. So just to show you, it's really not going to show up too much if you guys do hard mount it on the inside. And it's not really too bright or anything like that. So I do think people coming in here, they aren't really going to take a second look and ask what this thing is. So it's definitely going to hide, but it's definitely going to be functional as well.There's a couple of different ways I would do it. One, I would probably either just have a hook and loop little strip here so I can measure the horizontal leveling of the RV. And then also put another one maybe right here, so I can check and see if it's going to be level this way as well. So that's going to be able to use all of them.And of course if you guys just lay it on a table, we're going to be able to do surface leveling too. But what I would probably do is buy two of them just to put one in one area and one in another, just to be able to get both of those readings. And maybe even just buy a third one, just so I can go ahead and take it off the hook and loop whenever I want to and put it on a level, on a table to see if it's going to be level, but that's just something I would do.If you guys are doing something different, do me a favor and share it on our website, just so we see what you guys are using them for.If you guys are at a construction site and you guys are leaving your guys' trailer for a couple of days, or even just a couple hours, maybe it's not on the most level of surfaces. This is definitely going to come in handy, just because. A very cost-effective way to be able to just be able to either put it on there or we can mount it onto our trailer to make sure it's nice and level.So if you guys don't have the best wheel chocks, which we do have some here at etrailer, but if you guys aren't really too confident in where your trailer's sitting, whether it's just a very uneven surface or no wheel chocks, it's going to be a great way to be able to put it on there, make sure it's nice and level. So you're going to basically just. Give you more peace of mind that it's not going to roll away.And where this level gets its name, the No Fade, it's not going to fade away. So everything on the inside and all the markings and stuff, isn't going to fade with the sun. They might get scratched a little bit just as you guys can see, there's a little scratch on this one here.So eventually it might rub off, but it's not going to fade. And I'll show you what fades in the sun, a lot does. As you can see, the decals on our travel trailer do. And of course the little markings on our bubble level here are also kind of faded. Luckily there is a little raised edge, so we can still kind of read it. And it still pretty much gets us what we need, just to see if that bubble's somewhat in the middle.But with this one, we're not going to have that kind of issue. But one thing we we're being told on the website. You guys we're saying that over time, whenever it sits out in the sun, this bubble is going to maybe shrink up and maybe even just disappear because of the sun. So we're not going to have fading issues, but that bubble might go away after a long, extended time outside in the sun and very hot climates.All in all, I would definitely recommend you guys getting some sort of level, whether it's just making sure all your picture frames on the inside of your RV are nice and squared up. Or if you guys are hanging some stuff, you want to make sure that that's all squared too. Or if you just want your guys' RV or travel trailer just to be nice and level so it's more homey. I do believe that the Never Fade is definitely going to be able to get you guys the leveling capabilities that you guys really need. And it's a very, very cost-effective option, just to make it all look a little bit more appealing to your eyes or make your RV seem a little bit more at home.
