Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at this Flair-It Universal Pipe Cutter with the steel blade. Now, this will cut flexible rubber, PVC, ABS, and polyethylene tubing. If you notice, it has a nice long handle, provides added leverage for easy cuts. And you can see just by unhooking it it opens it up and it's ready to be used. And it does use a ratchet lever design so it makes cutting easier.
And by that I mean if to get the blade open, what you'll do is press, or pull it apart, and you'll see your blader open and accept the tubing you're gonna put in there. And if you notice right here, there's the ratchet design. So basically, when you put your tubing in there and you're ready to cut, you just squeeze it- (pipe fitter clicking) The ratchet, squeeze it again, and you can see that each time you do that, the blade goes down and cuts more, so it makes, the ratchet lever design makes cutting a lot easier. And if you'll notice right here, they use a curved holder which will support homes for square cuts. And the blade itself is replaceable.
Now, I do wanna demonstrate this just to show you how this will cut. So I happen to have a piece of tubing right here, you can see. And so to cut that, again, what we'll do is open it all the way and put that in there, and then we'll push down, push down again, and now it's getting its grip. And then push it again, and then push it again, and just like that, gives you a nice clean cut. Very simple to use.
