Features to know about

Balances Every Load: Built-In Tongue Weight Scale

Guesswork has no place when you’re towing. The Weigh Safe Aero Hitch has a built-in gauge right on the ball mount platform that automatically shows your trailer’s tongue weight as soon as you couple up. No need for separate scales or trips to the weigh station. The gauge reads instantly, so you can make quick adjustments before hitting the road and keep your trailer balanced for smoother handling.

Adapts to Different Trailers: Adjustable 6" Drop and 7" Rise

Whether one trailer rides high and the next one low, this hitch adjusts to match. The platform slides along the steel shank in 1" increments, giving you up to a 6" drop or a 7" rise. Two hitch pin holes—8" and 9-1/4" from the ball center—help dial in your setup. Once set, the locking pin keeps it locked down solid so each tow runs level and steady.

Handles Serious Weight: 12,500 lbs Capacity

Heavy boats, campers, or equipment trailers are no problem here. Both the 2" and 2-5/16" hitch balls are rated for 12,500 lbs gross towing weight. That kind of strength means you’re covered for big loads without swapping setups. It’s built from high-strength steel with a matte black powder coat to stand up to years of heavy hauling.

Simplifies Trailer Swaps: Clamshell Adapter for 2-5/16" Ball

Switching between coupler sizes is all about convenience. The included clamshell adapter slips over the 2" ball to create a 2-5/16" diameter ball when needed. Pop it off when you go back to a smaller trailer—no tools, no fuss, just quick changes you can do on the spot.

Fights Rust and Stays Clean: Durable Steel and Stainless Construction

Road salt and rain can take a toll on towing gear, but this setup is built to resist it. The steel shank’s black powder coat protects against corrosion while the stainless steel hitch ball stays bright and rust-resistant. If surface rust ever appears, a quick pass with a scotch brite or brillo pad keeps it looking fresh for the next haul.

by:

Great project and great quality

I love this Hitch! This helps me better properly distribute my front to rear trailer weight. I do have one issue but it's due to my vehicle, but not currently affecting my ability to tow my current trailers. I can't do a rise due to my bumper facing being about a 1/2 inch too long/deep. Cybertruck.

Great value.

by:

Looks good, easy to adjust.

by:

It works great. A slight clunk when braking and coming to a stop but I think an anti rattle hitch tightener will eliminate that. Guage works well. Installed on my 2017 Tundra

by:

delivered as promised

by:

Nice to know if your tongue weight is in the 10 to 15% range.

by:

Love this hitch! It’s versatile, tough and easy to use.

by:

Love this product! Very simple and extremely heavy duty!

by:

Was unaware that the 2 5/16 ball is just a clamshell that goes over the 2” ball . Used it once hoping for the best and it got so wedged in the trailer that we had to pry it out with a bar. Absolute garbage and needs to be more clearly stated that there is a clamshell as your second ball. Called to try and get it returned and/or exchanged for one without a clamshell and was denied . Absolute trash and do not buy it if you’re going to tow anything other than a 2” ball.

by:

My only disappointment is the scale only shows increments of 100. It would be nice if it could show them in increments of 50.

by:

Have not had a chance to try it yet but be soon, so far everything is going to plan :-)

Hitch works as a hitch should. I really enjoy the quick ball clasp that allows me to throw a 2 5/16" Ball trailer on it at a moments notice. The tongue weight being easily visible makes hauling takes significantly less guess work. Generally, you'd weigh the trailer tongue off the truck, but that takes time, requires a level place, you have to disconnect the truck... it's a lot of work, especially if you're just throwing stuff on a flat deck or loading a box trailer up. It's also super useful when balancing out your car hauler. It's almost 2 years old now, but works like brand new. I tend to baby it a bit more than my other ball hitches, but it's come in clutch when I needed it.

Customer service was excellent. Hitch is overkill for my current truck but looking toward the future with this purchase. Great company to do business with.

by:

Quick ship as usual. Nice hitch.

The Weigh Safe adjustable ball mount have a lot of pros to it. One of the main things that stood out for me was how the lock works. If you are putting on the lock cylinder on you don't have to use the key to lock it, it clicks in and locks into place. The Aero is a good option for someone who wants something that is lighter in weight than most adjustable ball mounts. It will also give you slightly better clearance since the two balls are not connected as one and you would get a clam shell adapter to adapt to the 2-5/16th ball size. The scale is a major plus when your loads are not always the same, you always know your Weigh is Safe to go!

by:

Listing indicated in came with two balls, in fact it comes with one ball and a clam shell for second ball. Clam shells are not safe. I returned the item.

by:

The hitch is fine if you only need a 2" ball. I don't like the clamshell that came with the hitch as it starts to open and gets stuck when trying to disconnect the trailer. I tried to order a replacement ball in 2 5/16" but weigh safe does not make a replacement ball for the aero hitch. If you need to tow something that requires a 2 5/16" ball, I suggest looking at other hitches.
