Question:

Hello I am currently looking to get a trailer hitch for a 2003 Chevy Tahoe and was wondering what wiring harness you would recommend to be able to use a 4 way connector for the lights?

Hey Joe,

For the trailer wire harness I recommend the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236. If you haven't picked out the trailer hitch yet then I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e26KR if you're just looking for a Class III trailer hitch. *Note: this does not fit models with canister on rear passenger side frame rail.* If you're wanting something a bit heavier duty we also offer a Class V Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15324.

To mount the connector to the trailer hitch I recommend pickup up the no-drill mounting bracket # 18136 and # 18144. This will help prevent your connector from dragging on the ground and getting damaged.

Hey Joe, how did the Curt wiring harness work out on your Tahoe? Did the mounting brackets help keep the connector secure and out of the way? Your update could make it easier for others setting up a similar trailer wiring setup.
