How Far Below the Mounting Point is the Top of the 2" Receiver on the Curt Hitch C15324?

Curt Hitch C15324 - Would like to know the from the mounting plate to the top receiver crossbar. I am trying to reduce the on my current receiver - Thanks in advance.

Hey Frank! I went out to the warehouse and took a measurement of the Curt Hitch item # C15324. The top of the receiver is 2-1/4" below the mounting plates. This hitch is confirmed to fit the following vehicles:
2003 - 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche
2003 - 2006 Cadillac Escalade
2003 - 2006 Cadillac Escalade EXT
2003 - 2006 Chevrolet Suburban
2003 - 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe
2003 - 2006 GMC Yukon
2003 - 2006 GMC Yukon XL

Hey Frank, did that 2-1/4 inch drop from the mounting plates on the Curt hitch help reduce the clearance issue you were seeing with your current receiver? Knowing how it worked out could help others comparing hitch heights for similar vehicles.
