Features to know about

Get More Utility Out of Your Vehicle: Class III Strength with a 2" Receiver

This hitch makes it easy to add hauling capability to your setup. With a 2" x 2" receiver opening and a Class III rating, it’s built for towing up to 4,000 lbs gross trailer weight and handling up to 600 lbs of tongue weight. You can use it for light trailers, cargo carriers, or bike racks—whatever your adventures call for. The design balances everyday versatility with solid strength for consistent use.

Install It Yourself Without Welding or Fabrication: Bolt-On Mounting Design

You don’t need a lift or specialty tools to get this hitch installed. It bolts directly to the frame—no welding required—and comes with a complete hardware kit and installation instructions right in the box. The precision, robotic welding ensures the hitch lines up as it should, saving time and hassle during setup.

Built to Last Through Weather and Road Grime: Powder-Coated Steel Construction

The fully welded steel construction gives this hitch the durability needed for real-world towing. A gloss black powder coat finish over a protective base coat keeps rust and corrosion at bay. That means long-term reliability even when you’re dealing with rain, snow, or salty roads.

Ready for Everyday Use: Works with Ball Mounts and Other Accessories

Once installed, the receiver is set up for common towing and accessory gear. You can attach ball mounts (sold separately) for trailers or slide in other Class III accessories like cargo carriers and racks. Whether you’re hauling weekend equipment or handling small utility jobs, this hitch gives you an easy, reliable connection point every time.

Very easy to install if you can use tools. Excellent install video which helped throughout the install. All holes and bolts matched up perfectly.

by:

The service is amazing and fast shipping. They change my shipping methot for a fast option for the same cost

by:

Exactly what i expected to receive and in perfect condition. The installation guides were very helpful. I priced the hitch with installation at a nearby store and I ended up saving about 60%. I’m very happy.

by:

Works perfectly. Nice fitment and the installation instructions are super detailed and easy to follow.

by:

Installed on my 2013 Range Rover Evoque. Fitment was perfect and the install was straightforward. After a year of use, the hitch is still working great!

by:

Looks great! Its so much better than the factory. This looks like a hitch should. Land Rover should contract with Curt to make the hitch for the Evoque. The install was not bad but one of the bolts were to long so I had to use a couple washers as spacers.

by:

Super sturdy hitch! I've carried four bike on an attached rack over rough terrain and it's been stable.

Fits& looks great.

Schweet! What are you planning on towing with the Rover?

by:

Installed on 2013 Range Rover Evoque. Instructions were well documented and easy to follow. I was able to install by myself in my garage while the vehicle was on jack stands. Getting the exhaust off of the hangers was the most difficult part. Just need patience. The fit is perfect, looks great on the vehicle, and is what I needed for the hitch mounted bike rack I have. Will be used primarily to carry four bikes, and I have no doubt it can handle that load. Very solid and looks great, I’d highly recommended for Range Rover Evoque drivers.

by:

Just had this installed on my 2018 range rover evoque by J&J Towing. Due to weather I haven't be able to utilize it for my bike rack yet. I do want to thank you for listing local installers. Before noticing that I was having difficulty finding someone I was comfortable with. J&J Towing was the perfect fit. Got me in quick, took time to go over the install, and very reasonably priced.

by:

Product fits as described

by:

The hitch has worked out great for us, we use it for a bike rack and rack to store extra supplies for camping. Install went quite smoothly after googling plenty of accounts of install experiences from people with the same car. There's always tips and tricks out there that go beyond what's in the manual.

by:

It's too low. Curt should have made a version where it doesn't drop down to clear the plastic bumper.

Because it's too low, you have to buy these huge rises to get the tow ball back to the right spot.

Because it's too low, it scrapes on everything when off-roading. And I'm not talking about extreme stuff either. Just go off pavement about 5minutes on pretty tame fire roads to get to a family camping site and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Curt missed the boat in my opinion. They designed it so the customer wouldn't have to cut the bumper. The precious bumper, really? So now you spend more time trying to buy more stuff to get the ball back where it should be for proper towing height. Thanks guys.

Make another one the right way, and I'll buy it. I'm sure other people would too.

by:

Overall, install wasn't bad. Not easy but not bad. The problem I have with this, is that the drivers side reinforcement bar is about 0.5cm away from the rear muffler mount and even the slightest of bumps causes a loud knock. I'll have to clearance it somehow.

Thank you for your review. Occasionally a hitch will make contact with a vehicles exhaust system, even if the hitch was installed properly. The contact can result in a rattling noise. Please see the attached article about how to fix that.

by:

This is the second hitch I've ordered from etrailer and again - bravo! The product itself is solid and all parts are there. But best, the instructions included are very good and even better, the videos on your website are fantastic! This one required hoisting the car so I had my local mechanic do it and he could easily follow everything and even with the cutting required, it came off perfectly! The product looks and works great on this fantastic looking SUV and doesn't detract from the aesthetics.......

Working perfectly have used it several times very happy

by:

Awesome customer service! Fast shipping. Great product.

by:

The hitch is great. The advertisement of no modifications is misleading. I had to cut into the vehicles cowling per the installation instructions. Also, the bolt holes were misaligned by millimeters making me have to bore them out for proper installation. Other than that everything is great.

by:

I had San Diego Trailer Supply install my Curt product onto my Range Rover Evoque and I have to say that it looks good! The product was an excellent fit and good job etrailer.com for helping get the right parts.

by:

The product itself was made well. Now the installation was not as easy but im sure it would have been easier with a lift. This was put on using race ramps . This was installed on a 18 range rover evoque. Just a fyi there is a electronic module on the driver side that has to be unplugged before droping the exhaust. The older models do not have this. Other wise about 1-1/2 hours total time with the last 5 min somone helping hold into place to get the bolts started.

by:

Bought this for my 2015 Range Rover Evoque, fits perfectly and I didn't have to make any cuts on the shield. I also purchased the Hollywood 2 bike rack and it fits tight with no bounce or rattling. For the price it is great quality, I will definitely be using etrailer as my go to when I need these types of accessories for my Evoque. Already looking into a hitch carrier to haul my riding lawn mower.

  • Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendation for Carrying an E-Bike with a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover
Thank you for the picture! Based off of that it looks like your 2016 Land Rover Range Rover is either an Evoque or a Sport. If you have an Evoque then I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13128 but if you have the Sport use the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13243. Both options give you what you need to carry a hitch mount bike rack but a stabilizer strap like part # 18050 must be used for non-trailer products (like a bike rack) to keep in accordance with the Curt warranty. We offer three options in a 2-inch Class III hitch for your 2016 Land-Rover Evoque that can be seen on the linked page. The highest capacity hitch offered is the Draw-Tite # 75227 which has a tongue weight rating of 675-lbs and a gross trailer weight rating of 4500-lbs. This hitch fits so long as you do NOT have the Autobiography edition. If you do then instead use the Curt hitch # C13128 but note this hitch is rated to only 4000-lbs. For a trailer hitch, I'd recommend the Curt Class III, part # 13456. The # C13128 hitch you'd looked at is for the Land Rover Evoque, and wouldn't fit your Range Rover Sport. Please note, if your Range Rover Sport has the full-sized spare tire, it will no longer fit under the vehicle once the hitch is installed. For a trailer wiring harness, I'd recommend the # C59496. • If a Hitch Isn't Rated for Weight Distribution Does that Mean the Vehicle Isn't Either
Typically if a hitch isn't rated for weight distribution that also means the vehicle isn't rated for it either. You can check your owners manual to confirm this. If a vehicle wasn't rated for a WD system Curt wouldn't be able to safely test a WD system on that vehicle with their hitch so the two usually go hand in hand. The Curt Hitch part # C13128 that you referenced is not rated for a WD system so chances are your vehicle isn't either.
