Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our Lewmar anchor rode with chain. It's a three-strand nylon rope construction, and it has a nice shackle on the end for the anchor. It's going to be 215 feet total. That's going to be 15 feet long of chain and 200 feet of that three-strand twisted nylon.
Now, the chain is hot-dip galvanized, and it's welded to minimize any kind of corrosion. You're going to get a nice shackle here. That shackle size is a 5/16-inch. And as you know, you can simply twist this out, put it over your anchor, or through the eyelid of the anchor rather, and then you'll have that secure. And then the 200 feet of rope here, they've already hooked that onto the chain here, and as you can see, they have extra twined it shut and then melted it to keep everything nice and secure.
On the very, very end of the tip of your rope, you have the tape around, the melted end as well. So this is ideal for all Lewmar windlass gypsies. It's also going to work, though, with the V-700s, the Pro-Series, the Fish 700, the V1, 2, and 3, and the Pro-Sport 550 windlasses as well. And this is going to provide durability and strength so that it can hold your boat steady whenever you're anchored up and everything. So very nice.
It's rated at a G4 grade as far as the chain and everything. So grade 4, and those links are 1/4 inch thick. The rope is 1/2 inch thick, and again, it's a three-strand twisted nylon. Well, folks, that's going to wrap it up for our quick look together. Again, I'm Steven.
As always, stay safe on the water.
