Question:
I am looking at the curt trailer hitch for a 2015 range rover evoque, is there another model that does not require that the facia be trimmed? I also want a bike carrier that will fit on the evoque that will fold down so that the rear hatch will open. I would like a rack that the bikes sit on holders, not just hanging from the rack. thank you michael

Hi Michael, I get why you want to avoid cutting the fascia but unfortunately there isn’t a true no-trim option for this vehicle.
For the 2015 Range Rover Evoque, the Curt hitch part # C13128 is the only hitch we carry that fits, and it does require a small fascia trim. I looked into other brands as well and the only alternative I found was the factory-style hitch, which also requires trimming. The trimming is required so the receiver can pass through the fascia, giving it a clean, factory-style appearance rather than hanging below the bumper.
For a bike rack that holds the bikes in trays and tilts down so you can access the hatch, the Yakima HoldUp for 2 bikes part # Y02443 is a really solid choice. It supports the bikes by the wheels instead of hanging from the frame. Yakima is a known reliable bike rack brand. If you ever need to carry more bikes, you can expand it with the Plus 2 add on part # Y02446. On similar size SUVs we’ve seen good hatch access when the rack is tilted. I have attached a video of the rack on a similar subcompact SUV that had clearance.
What kind of bikes will you be carrying? Carbon fiber frames? e-bikes?
