Question:
hello, good afternoon, I would like to know if you have any parts for my honda civic 2016 engine 2.0 sedan. I would like to know if they have a 2” hit I am interested because I have a 500 pound Curt basket and I would like to be able to use all the load weight that the basket offers since if I use a 1-1/4 Hitch I can only use 350 pounds of 500 that the basket offers. I also want to prepare my car to tow a 4 by 8 foot trailer that has a load capacity of 1,600 pounds. I would like to know if my car is suitable for pulling it and what accessories do you recommend for doing so. Thank you very much for your time.

Currently, a class I receiver like the Curt # C11604 that is rated for 200lbs of tongue weight and towing up to 2,000lbs is the only receiver available for your 2016 Honda Civic Sedan. There is not a receiver capable of supporting the weight of your Curt carrier fully loaded behind your Civic and this is most likely due to the structure under your Civic not being able to support the weight. The 19x47 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18110 will fit the class I receiver for your Civic. You will only be able to carry a maximum of 170lbs on the carrier as it weighs 30lbs itself.
According to the owners manual for your Civic "Your vehicle is not designed to tow a trailer. Attempting to do so can void your warranties." With that said you are likely out of warranty due to the age of your Civic so it is your decision on what you do with your vehicle. Curt recommends either the 1-7/8" Euro Style Drawbar # C45571 or 2" Euro Style Drawbar # C45572 to match your trailer coupler. You will need the Pin and Clip # F-4 to hold the drawbar in your receiver.
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118686 will give you a 4-way flat connector. This is the common connection used on small trailers like the 4'x8' trailer you intend to pull. It will also allow for Auxiliary Lights # C53201 if the items you are wanting to carry on the cargo carrier impairs the view of your tail lights.
