The gooseneck ball coupler on the Curt CrossWing # C92DR will only work with a 2-5/16" diameter gooseball. Since you have the OEM prep package I recommend picking up the Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loops Kit for Ram Underbed Gooseneck Hitch - 30K # C60618 so that you also have attachement points for the safety chains if you ever decide to tow a gooseneck trailer or if you'd just like one more point for securing cargo in the bed of your Ram.

Is there an ideal height of the gooseneck ball coupler to use on the Curt CrossWing # C92DR that is best to use for ease of installation? I know it will only work with a 2-5/16" diameter gooseball, but I wondered if there is a height recommended.
