2011 GMC Sierra

good communication fast delivery very pleased with product.
this hitch was installed on a 2011 gmc sierra 1500.i removed the lower air dam and did not replaced it.had to remove shield 4 bolts to
gain access to larger hole in cross member.following steps 1-4 was
a normal installation.

I am a "Do It Yourselfer", this hitch took me about 90 minutes total to install on my 2011 GMC Sierra. It is a good quality product. It shipped as advertised, and fit. The small 2 1/2 " square cut at the bottom of the fender skirt is very low profile and I covered it completely with a decorative insert.

I recomend this product for anyone that has a tight spot or corner to get their trailer into or around.

Did you need to use the fishing wire?

Bryan did not leave an email address with his review, so I cannot get in touch with him. You will need the fish wire in order to get the last carriage bolt and block in place for the arm of th ehitch that extends up towards the front of the vehicle.

Fit between the mounting brackets on my 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 was a little tight but it bolted up just fine.
Looks very well made.
I removed the lower front air dam ( I didn't like it anyway) & it fit perfectly underneath the bumper & license plate mount.

Will be using the front hitch skid shield with this.

FYI: The air dam is there to help with aerodynamics on the underside of the truck. In short, it helps make the truck more fuel efficient. No harm in removing it if you dont mind burning a bit more fuel.

The front mount makes getting my trailer in and out of tight spots a whole lot easier than trying to back the trailer into a tight spot.

Perfect fit, great quality. Very happy with the entire process. Appreciate the support and instructions. Installed on a 2012 Silverado 1500 WT.

Excellent quality. Quick shipping.

The hitch came packaged in a double box. The outer box had some damage but the hitch did not.
I read the instructions, making sure i had the correct tools, and jacked my truck up.
The install took three hours as i was layiing on my back with simple hand tools.
The parts all fit and i am happy with the outcome. Good price, simple instructions, good fit.

It worked out great, I use a winch, and can move it to the front or rear as needed.

by:

The hitch didn’t fit my 2009 GMC Denali. The mounting hole on the bracket in the middle of the hitch didn’t line up with the frame hole. It was off by an inch. Called service department and they said they never had this problem before. Had me call the manufacturer rep and they said the same thing. They wouldn’t accept a return. I couldn’t use it. It’s in my scrap pile.

by:

Good solid American made product, Good price (I couldn't build it for that) Instructions where good, hour installation w/air tools, shipping was fast and free, all hardware was there (nothing missing). I would order again and would recommend.

It was not as easy yo install as the video seems to suggest. I had planned to do it myself with the truck on ramps, but had to get someone with a lift to do it. Once the plates were mounted the main part didn't line up just right and it took more pressure than I could apply while lying on my back. Other than that it is great. Very strong and just what I needed.Thanks.

I bought the Curt front hitch for the purpose to haul my Honda Generator on the Torklift Lock and Load in front of my 2009 Chevy Silverado. The installation is self explanatory, but I still watched the video provided by e-trailer, and it made it that much easier to put in. Especially by myself. It works perfectly for the purpose I bought it for.

by:

High quality product. Good instructions and all the necessary parts. Had to buy a 21mm socket and use a racket strap to pull stabilizing bar back a little to reach hole in frame but no big deal.

After a season of plowing snow in Alaska my hitch is as good as new. It’s a lighter duty plow don’t still went through some abuse this last winter. No regrets on my purchase.

2012 Chevrolet Silverado

This product fit my needs perfectly. I purchased this hitch to mount a bicycle rack to the front of my pickup truck as I did not want to add weight to the back of my camp trailer on the flimsy bumper that is standard, and did not want to spend a fortune on a hitch that needed drilled or welded to my camp trailer. I looked at several options, and this appeared to be the best choice. With the video instructions and an hour of time, I had this hitch installed and bicycle rack in place. This product was relatively easy to install, and will suit my needs very well. Thank you etrailer!

Ordered for mounting a winch on the front of my Silverado.
Free shipping was appreciated and quite fast. Received it in 3 business days because of my location.
Instructions were included and simple.
Product was well protected and packaged great.
Installation went as well as expected. I had slight alignment difficulty due to a deer committing suicide via my truck this past fall, but that wasn’t the products fault. Took me just over an hour total from setting up to tearing down.
Good quality bolts make for ease of mind.

Overall highly recommend. Great company. Even followed up with an email to make sure everything was good.
Will purchase from then again when needed.

No drilling!!!

2011 Chevrolet Silverado

Almost easy to install, for some reason alignment was difficult with the small bolts. Still not bad. Very happy overall.

by:

Instruction sheet and video showed two different ways to install. Instruction sheet layout of where pieces go wasn't the greatest. Installation went overall well ,but did have a few head scratching moments. I am not a "Professional" but do know how work on cars, trucks, ect.

by:

It was easy to install and works great. We use it to push airplanes around on the ramp and the front hitch is so nice to use.

by:

Fit great. Was missing 2 bolts and 4 washers. A hole on the corner of the box from shipping. No biggy.

by:

I have not beaten it up like I thought I was going to but it works well

  • Will the Fisher MM2 Snowplow Mounting Brackets Work With a Front Mount Hitch Receiver
I do have an option that will allow you to attach a snowplow to the front of your 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 but the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 31322 will not work with the Fisher MM2 Mount Kit as they both occupy the same space on the frame rails. For a snowplow that will work well with a 2" front mount trailer hitch receiver and your Chevy Silverado 1500, I recommend using the Detail K2 Avalanche Snowplow part # K2AVAL8219. The Detail K2 Avalanche has an 82" wide blade,...

  • Front Hitch For Carrying Fishing Poles On A 2013 GMC Sierra 1500
Hi Matt! For your 2013 GMC Sierra 1500, I recommend going with the Curt Front Mount Hitch # 31322. We technically have two options that are rated for the exact same capacities (the 500 pound tongue weight will be the one that's relevant to your needs), but this one is American made and would be the one I would go for if I was adding a front hitch to my Silverado (though technically I have a '16 and it would be a different Curt hitch, but that's beside the point). What kind of fishing...

No, I am sorry Frank it will not. The Replacement 2-Point Reciever Cup Cross Member for Snowbear Plow System item # SB324-136 has the same identical fittings on the end as the snow plow in your picture. The only option we have to attach a SnowBear plow like item # SB324-168 to your truck is with a front mounted hitch. If your Silverado is a 1500 you'll need item # 31322. If you have a 2500 then the item # 31109 is the correct front hitch. What model SnowBear plow do you have?

Both the Curt Front Hitch part # 31322 and the Draw Tite part # 65052 are a fit for the 2011 GMC Sierra 1500. They have similar prices, similar capacities and will give you a hitch opening in about the same location. Biggest difference is they are made by different brands and use different parts of the vehicle to mount the side brackets. Since the Draw Tite is totally welded and does not have any sections that are bolted together it would be what I would go with.

  • Troubleshooting Holes Not Lining Up On Curt Front Hitch 31322
Hello Randy, you are referring to the single bolt that installs on the forwardmost part of the hitch (pictured below), is that correct? How much is the hole off by? If it is off by a small about you can use a drill to enlarge the hole slightly if that helps get the bolt through. These hitches are made of a mild flex steel so it is not uncommon for them to bend slightly. If you are able bend the piece of the hitch back into position that will be fine too, just do so carefully. If you are...
