Love CURT front hitch, bought one from you for old suburban and just put this new one on new Siverado P/U. Only advice I would add for people is to start with drilling smaller pilot hole than bigger and finally with specified 17/32" bit to make it easier drilling while laying on driveway under truck. I also used a 5/8" bit because I had one and all worked out fine. Now we can put the bike rack on front and camper on back.
Extremely well engineer, simple and easy installation. Most people don’t realize how easy a front hitch can make putting a camper or boat into a tight spot. I’m very satisfied. This is my second purchase of a front mounted hitch, second vehicle.
The fast shipping and service was GREAT, I am going to modify the receiver for my needs, and will post a review when done.
The one arm was bent on the hitch, requiring us to take the hitch to a body shop for controlled straightening. Other than that the hitch was short not allowing clearance between my bumper and the wench. This required an extension to move the wench further out from the bumper and allowing a pin to pass through the hitch attaching the wench.

This is the 2nd Front Hitch that I have purchased through eTrailer, made by Curt.
My first was for my 2004 GMC Sierra. After several years pushing a driveway plow and launching & precisely parking boats,....I decided to buy a new 2016 Silverado.
The 2004 Hitch mounted with only 2 bolts on each side. There was clever use of the tow hook bolt & an open access hole. No holes needed to be drilled. I bent the plow rack & bent a hitch extender over the years but never compromised the hitch. I'm going to give this hitch to my brother for his 2015 Silverado 2500 for a front winch mount.
The 2016 Hitch used an access hole on each side and required me to drill 2 more holes on each side. This hitch is just as strong as the rear hitch,....probably stronger! The instructions suggested that I trim the airdam,....didn't have to. I pulled out one screw and bent the airdam over a little.
The other brand offered by eTrailer was recognizable, but not as well designed & made as the Curt.
Next truck I buy,...I'll be back to eTrailer for another Curt Hitch!
Oh,...incidentally; the website, ordering, delivery, packaging, instructions were all GREAT!,....and like most busy people, I don't have time to give this feedback, but eTrailer's Bill P. asked kindly & deserves it.
Installation was easy even when combined with my grill guard.
Even so, I have three recommendations. 1) Remove the bottom plastic air deflector. This will help with installation and even more when inserting and removing hitches. 2) Install a 2" leveling kit to the front suspension. The stock ride height will let the receiver come in contact with high curbs when parking. 3) Use a hitch extension to get out in front of the bumper.
A front mounted hitch for me allows me to switch my winch from rear to front and to launch my boat trailer easier in some locations.

This hitch is doing a great job. So much easier to load my boat into the lake.
Never used it. Still sitting in my garage never used. Did not line up.
Would have to weld it to the frame. I wasn’t doing that. Got rid of camper so I don’t need it. If you know anyone that needs it selling it cheap.
Great VIDEOS and helpful questions and answers service. Fit my 2014 Silverado present and I had a good idea how the job would go before the hitch even showed up.A little slow on the shipping but other than that very happy with my purchase.

Turned out to be a bad ideal. It hits the curb sets too low and I wanted it for a bike rack and the bikes getting way of my Vision so I ended up taken it off period
Very easy installation (1 hour) with no problems. The air dam only required a vertical 3/4" cut to fit. I only cut the sides and let the tongue push the plastic upwards. The wire used to snake the nuts and washer bar into the frame is ingenious. All four fell into place on the first try.

It remains one of the best accessories to put on a truck. The ease of maneuvering a trailer is outstanding.
The hitch came yesterday. It was packaged extremely well. The paint finish is great, I can't wait to install the hitch on the front of my pickup. It will be after Christmas now as too much to do to get ready for the holidays. After that I will submit a second review once the product is installed. etrailer is the best for products of this nature, always a good shopping experience . Thank you

well after a year and the hitch installed Ive yet to use it. Due to cover we have not traveled, but the hitch is great just the same.
Was glad to receive my box early, however, the one brace on the hitch was 1/2" off and had to be pried out to fit properly...Not an easy task. As far as time installing the hitch, I am not a novice but it took me quite a while to install this. The fishing line kept going up, luckily i had long nosed pliers to pull it into place. All in all I am happy with the hitch.

First order of business with the new mount. My new hydraulic-less plow for residential and some commercial servicea
The hitch quality is great the fit was perfect and mounting time was about 35 minutes.
One thing that would make the installation better would be to include 6 of the fishing wires instead of only including 2. When bolting the hitch to the frame it is real easy to push the bolts back up into the frame. With the extras fish wires you can just feed them through the holes in the hitch and not worry about losing the bolt. This would make it much easier to mount.With that being said I would recommend this hitch to anyone who needs a front mount hitch.

The unit was fairly easy to install, and it provides allot of versatility for me. I use this hitch for moving my 24-foot RV between its storage area and my driveway. I believe a front hitch is a great way to maneuver boats, trailers, or RV. Having steerable wheels close to the actual hitch is a game changer and this product performs nicely
This front hitch works well with my rod/cooler rack for surf fishing! I installed myself using the instructions. (Would've been easier with a second person!). It's low profile. I removed the air dam to make it easier for install and gain more ground clearance overall. I have a 2018 Silverado.
2014 Chevy Silverado. The hitch arrived in what seemed to be record time.
Install was very straightforward. The only issue was the front mounting holes were too small to accept the spacer and bolt. A little time with a die grinder was all it took.
Since I was installing alone I used a short pipe clamp to hold the passenger side in place instead of a jack.
Install time was 50 minutes.
I have a 2" leveling kit on the truck and ended up with 10-1/2" of clearance below the hitch.
Overall I'm very pleased with the hitch. My primary use will be to occasionally mount a winch on the front or back as needed.
Purchased a front mount receiver hitch for my pickup from etrailer.com. The hitch mounted exactly as it said and was a super to install. I plowed snow all winter with a receiver plow. Now I move three times the snow now in a third of the time.
Perfect, well packaged, nuts and bolts included, fast delivery. Test fitment exactly as expected. Will need to drill 4 holes and install, will need to remove a little bit of spoiler plastic
This is installed on my crew cab pickup. I use it to move trailers around my property. I can steer a boat into a tight garage space by myself because I can see it right over the hood. this is a great tool for people that need to move trailers around. Use it once and you won't believe how you ever did without it
This hitch receiver went on the front of a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 4WD. Installation was straight forward but they called for a 17/32" drill bit which I didn't have and couldn't find locally. I used a 9/16" drill bit as it's only slightly larger. I had to make a small cutout on the plastic air dam, as detailed in the instructions.
The receiver is about 1.5" lower than the air dam, something I knew going in but does require extra care when approaching tall curbs. The Yakima On Ramp LX bike rack fits the receiver perfectly and even folds up against the truck without touching anything.

The modified receiver works great. I removed receiver tube from the center, then added two new tubes at either end, this made the cooler rack 100 wobble free. I can still use the front mount receiver to jockey my boat around in tight spaces. Id give it 5 stars.
