Hey Mike, there are several vehicle fit differences between the Curt hitches part # C31012 and the # C31069.
The C31012 fits are:
2007 - 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche excluding Z71
2007 - 2020 Cadillac Escalade
2007 - 2013 Cadillac Escalade EXT
2007 - 2014 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 models
2007 - 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe
2007 - 2014 GMC Yukon
2007 - 2014 GMC Yukon XL 1500
And the part # C31069 fits are:
2014 - 2018 GMC Sierra 1500
2019 - 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited
2014 - 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
2019 - 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LD
If you have a 2012 Tahoe you'd need the part # C31012 .

What are the fit differences between Curt front hitches C31012 and C31069? From my experience installing them myself, the two hitches are almost identical. The mounting holes, overall width, and bracket sizes appear the same, and both install using the same frame holes. The main difference is clearance. The C31069 sits about 1–1.5 inches higher, which provides slightly better ground clearance. Because of this higher position, you usually need to cut the front trim or air dam a little higher compared with the C31012. Aside from that, the capacity, receiver size, and installation points are the same. Interestingly, the C31069 is sometimes about $100 cheaper, even though it provides better clearance. Summary: • Same mounting holes • Same bracket size and overall width • Same 2-inch receiver and capacity • Same installation points • C31069 sits higher (about 1–1.5”) for better clearance • Requires slightly more trimming of the front plastic air dam Overall, both hitches fit the same vehicles and install the same way. The main practical difference is that the C31069 hangs a little less below the truck, giving better ground clearance. Either one fits then both fit!!!!

I have this front mount on my 2014 Sierra. Very easy installation with factory holes in the frame. I put my surf fishing rack on it and a 15000 lb winch with a hitch mount. It’s a great addition to the truck
