Video Transcript for Drift Car Drivers Talk E and X Track

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. I recently got to spend a day at World Wide Technology Raceway with some formula drift drivers. And let me tell you, these guys love E-Track as well as its cousin X-Track. Just little stuff like this, this is just makeshift at the track. Once we have our headsets out, instead of pulling 'em in and out of the bags, I'd rather replace this with like an E-hook, but somewhat of an organization built the ladder rack, put the ladder rack back there, our tire cart goes here, so on and so forth. Now, when it came to, you know, old school way of towing, just ratchet strap it, but did you do any upgrades as far as storage or anything to the truck or trailer to make it better Well, back then, we didn't really.

We just kind of overloaded the truck. She was squatting good, and just, you know, used some regular straps. But over the time, you know, we'd switch to some the E-Track stuff and, you know, other using track straps, you know, stuff like that, instead of just using a regular ratchet strap with just a hook on the end. Guy in California told me about this on one of his trailers. This is actually how I store our wheels.

So we have a ton of wheels. We're up to 20 wheels total, but I'll do this E-Track and then we have just, like a two-by-four bar with E-Track hooks. You hook 'em to one side, hook 'em to the other, and depending on, like if you run a 17 inch wheel, you can run 'em here. If you run a 20-inch wheel, you run 'em out here, but it's a beam on each side and then it just becomes a wheel rack. Now, if you we inchesre to do like any upgrades to your trailer long term, is there anything that you're like, "Oh, I'd love to do that" Yeah, probably add more E-Track stuff just on more on the walls to attach a bunch of other stuff.

Right now, you know, we're just basically putting everything up on top of the goose, and it's a lot harder to get up there and get all this stuff down, but, so if we could just kind of put some stuff on the walls and leave more space up there to put, you know, bigger objects. And Chris actually mentioned that there's teams that swap boilovers out- Chris Yeah. Specifically for transporting, to save mileage on their performance ones that they're gonna use on track. Chris Oh yeah. And that's something impressed suspension, hot, damage, I mean- Yeah, and it is when people are like, "Oh, well, the car's not producing the miles," right Like the trailer is, the car's not rolling.

Every bump, my car's still moving with the road. Just 'cause the wheels aren't turning doesn't mean that the suspension's not moving. So it still does the same thing. And there's multiple different ways of doing it. And one of my favorite ways is the E-Track. This trailer's very, very tight. Like, there's less than one inch on each side of the wheel when we back the car in. So getting to the rear wheels is a little difficult here. But with the next one, this is the thing I would like to do is the E-Track and doing over the tire. They make 'em in like a net style. There's several different options. But it's where it's planted behind the wheel, it wraps over to the front, the anchor pulls forward, and then you can, you know, pull the wheel directly down. You can get accessories for all your cargo management needs, hooks, tie-down anchors, wheel chocks, tool holders, baskets, and cord or hose holders are just some of your many options. So the drivers we talk to are sponsored by Kenda Tires, and I wanna give a huge shout out and thanks to Kenda Tires for allowing us to be here and for supporting motorsport and enthusiasts just like you. If you're using E-Track in an interesting or creative way, let us know with a picture or comment. I'm Brad, thanks for watching.
