Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a 2 and 1/2 inch pintle hook mount. The pintle hook mount slides into a 2 and 1/2 inch by 2 and 1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver, and provides a mounting plate for a variety of pintle hooks and combination hitches. The pintle hook mount features three pairs of mounting holes for a two-position mount. So position one and position two. The strong, durable carbon steel construction features continuous welds and a really nice black powder-coated finish to resist rust and corrosion. It can be used in either the drop or rise positions, whatever works best for your application.

I did take a measurement of the overall length from very front to very back and got a measurement of 12 and 1/2 inches. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the front of the mounting plate was 7 and 3/4 inches. And the hole spacing right here on the mount plate, side to side our holes are separated on center by 3 and 3/8. And then up and down, each hole is separated on center by 1 and 3/4 inches. Now the mounting plate itself measures about 5 inches wide, by 6 and 1/8 inches tall.

The other feature is a maximum gross trailer weight capacity of 16,000 pounds. And a maximum ton weight capacity of 3,200 pounds.Now you slide this into your hitch, and it does need to be secured using the hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. Those items are sold separately and available at etrailer.com. The pin holes on this mount will accept a standard 5/8 inch diameter pin.
