Hi everybody, my name is Andy with etrailer.com, and today we're taking a look at this recessed mount red LED interior accent boat light. Now, this waterproof LED interior accent light is gonna provide a red light for illuminating your boat steps and walkways. I have this light connected to a 12 volt power supply. Let me turn that on just to give you a brief demonstration of what this light looks like. And let me go ahead and turn my studio lights off, gives you a better idea of what it looks like in the dark and the light that it actually casts. Now, this is a premium LED in this light and it's gonna be energy-efficient and long-lasting, and vibration-resistant.

And it is rated up to 50,000 hours of operation. And again, this is what it looks like with my studio lights on at a wider angle. And let me go ahead and turn the power off and take anoteh closer look at this. The LED is sealed in a waterproof housing and there's also a nice clear durable impact-resistant lens, and that is what is going to be over the red LED and give it a nice protection. Now, the polished stainless steel cover adds a nice clean look, a very attractive look, and the military-grade construction of the circuit board adds to the durability and the ruggedness of this light.

And the yurethane potting offers better protection over heat than the common epoxy potting. Now, this light is a recessed mount and this is gonna require a 3/4 inch diameter cut out. And you would just install this with the included hardware after you make your cut out. You would take one of the gaskets and you would run this through the wire, and just put that gasket up against the back side of the light. You would put that light into your cut out and then run this other gasket through, and then you'll have your cut out in between these two gaskets and then these gaskets are gonna make it weather-tight, and also protect the interior of the boat.

And then this included nylon nut will lock everything together. Now, this is gonna be compatible with 12 volt DC systems. And again, this is a two wire installation, so your black wire is gonna be ground, in the case of this light, the red wire is going to be power. And let me give you just a few brief dimensions here, the light itself. The length of the light, we are gonna be sitting right at 15/16th of an inch.

And that is gonna be the same for the diameter as well. 15/16th of an inch. And the input voltage of this light is gonna be nine to 14 volts, and the power draw is gonna be .05 to .07 amps. And the wire length is right about 7 1/2 inches long. This does have an IP rating of 68 and it does have a limited lifetime warranty. Now again, this is a red light.
