Video Transcript for Low Profile LED Strobe Light Feature Review

Speaker 1: Today, we're going to take a look at the six-LED surface-mount, low profile strobe light, with the clear lens, and the amber and clear LEDs. Now, this strobe light has a narrow, 5/8 inch low profile, fits into tight spaces, like a front grill, or space between the rear bumper and the tailgate.A common use for this is on pickup trucks, utility trucks, or construction vehicles. Has a nice black housing, clear lens, and then three amber and three clear LEDs, and LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights, because they last 50 times longer. They're more efficient because they'll provide brighter light with less power output, and of course, no bubs to replace, no brittle filaments.This does offer 23 flash patterns, in a simultaneous or alternating function. It does use a blunt cut wire connection. You can see the wide length on it.

It's about nine and a half inches. Has three wires. The black is your ground, the red is your power, and the yellow would be used for synchronization and alternation flash. They do give you a nice set of detailed instructions that describe how to hook everything up.It is a surface-mount design. All the mounting hardware is included, and the brackets.

They're nice brackets. They got three pins on it, and in the back, there's different multiple holes, so you can put them in different positions. You can put it that way. You can put it that way. Many different options to mount this.This does have an IPX8 waterproof rating.

Again, six LEDs. The wattage on it is 13.68 watts. Voltage, 12 to 24 volts, and the amperage is 1.14 amps at 12 volts.Last thing I want to do is give you the dimensions on this, and then we're going to hook this up to power, just to show you how bright it is, and some of the patterns.Again, the length on it, it's going to be right at 5 1/8 inches long. The depth on it is about 1 1/8 inches deep. And we mentioned the height on it is right about 5/8 inches.So, what we're going to do is, we're going to hook this up.

I got some 12 volt power here, so we'll go black wire, the ground, red wire for the power. Right now, I'm going to leave the yellow unhooked, and I'm just going to turn it on and show it to you, and then what I'm going to is take this yellow wire and touch it to the red power wire, and that'll change the flash pattern. So, if you get a flash pattern you like, and you want to stay that way, then you just wire your yellow wire with your power wire.What we're going to do now is go ahead and turn on the 12 volt power. You can see there's a flash pattern that it's already set at. I am going to turn off the overhead lights. There you go. You can see very bright for six LEDs. And then what I'm going to do now, is just touch the . And you'll notice, when I touch it, see how it changes The yellow wire, every time you touch it, it'll change to a different flash pattern. There's 23 different ones to choose from. Again, you just wire to the flash pattern you like.Now, if you do have a bunch of these lights, let me go ahead and turn back on the overhead lights. If you do have a bunch of these lights, and you want to run them all in synchronization, you just attach this yellow wire to all the yellow wires in the other lights, and then whatever pattern you choose, it'll do it in all the lights.But that should do it for the review on the six-LED surface-mount low profile strobe light with the clear lens, and the amber and clear LEDs.
