Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at erailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this TecNiq recessed mount red LED step and accent light with the black housing. Now, this is a nice, small, round LED accent light. Provides a nice bright red light. Now, if you notice on the top portion of it, it does have a cover over the lens.
This light will provide a nice downward accent light when it's installed, so this will work great for cabinets, countertops, work areas, RV walkways, or anywhere you need small durable lighting. It is a nice sealed waterproof black housing. Has an impact resistant lens on it. And it is IP 68 rated. Does have a clear lens over one red LED.
And the light produced is a nice 180 degree beam when it's properly installed. The LED they use is a premium LED. It is energy efficient, long-lasting and vibration resistant. Now, they do use military-grade construction of the circuit board and urethane potting that offers better protection than this common epoxy potting. This is compatible with 12 volt DC systems.
And as you can see, it as a recessed mount design. Comes with the included grommet for installation. Now, to install this, it will require a 3/4 inch diameter cut-out for this to install in. And this does hardwire to your application. The wire length is about nine inches, and it's two wires to connect, the power wire and the ground wire.
Few specs on this, and then we'll hook it up to some power to show you how bright the light is. The diameter of the light, 1 1/4 inches. The depth of it, front to back is one inch. Input voltage, nine volts to 14 volts. And the power draw is only .06 to .08 amps. So, what we're gonna do is go ahead and hook this up to some power. And then with it hooked up, we'll go ahead and turn on the power. And with the power on, you'll be able to see there's the single LED in red. I go ahead and turn it off, you can see how that one LED gives a very nice, bright red light. There, you can see the LED right there. And as we've mentioned, you can notice the top half of the light has a cover over it, so when the light's shining, it's actually pointing downwards. Go ahead and turn back on our overhead light and we'll turn off our power. But that should do it for the review on this TecNiq recessed mount red LED step and accent light with the black housing..

Beautifully made little lights, potted electronics & LED for weatherproofing. Throw off enough light to offer illumination to dark areas. Recommended.
The lights were delivered in a timely matter. Unfortunately the lights are very weak providing very little light.
I was not a fan of my new 23 Alliance 31bhs not having an entry light for use at night on the outside of the camper. I purchased this light and it is amazing. Provides just enough light where it’s not too bright, but bright enough to see the steps and surrounding area. It’s probably my favorite modification I’ve done yet. Shipping and packaging were great.
Awesome light! I actually installed these on my vintage Bronco under the dash. They work great as they are directional and face down at your feet. The only drawback was the chrome cover came off on one of them which took a little glue and perfect!
Excellent service from the folks at E-trailer. Continue to order from them for most of my trailer and project needs. One caveat is item coming through Salt Lake City, Utah during the LDS General Conference will be significantly delayed. My items sat there for almost 3 days before making it to Southern California. Plan your future orders accordingly.
We used this LED light to shine on each stair leading up to the back of our house. Really works wonderfully. We also added a switch that turns them on when the sun goes down.
We used this as a license plate light. Works Great
I used these as interior lights in the foot wells of my SxS and they are great. They light up the space well while the shade does not blind me.

Just got a new camper and they used a few amber clearance lights for some accent lighting, but the amber is too bright to leave on at night for the kiddos.
This new blue light is bright, but the cover keeps all the light on the floor so it doesn’t keep anyone awake at night!

These are step or accent lights that are meant to be dimly lit. If you want something a little brighter I would go with item # TN88FR.
