Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this technique recess mount, waterproof, white, mini LED boat accent light with the cover. Now this is a nice mini LED accent light that'll provide a bright white light for your boat. So this is great for upgrading or replacing your aerial lighting, step lighting, under seat, engine compartment or even your walkway lighting. It does use a clear high clarity lens, provides 90 degrees of lighting, and it's in a sealed waterproof housing and lens unit. Meets has an IP 68 rating.
Now at the end of this video, I'm gonna hook this up to some 12 volt power just to show how bright the light is. But if you notice it has the clear lens over one white LED, nice black cover on it. And the cover would has a nice black textured finish to it to give you a nice finish look when this is installed. Now, this is a premium LED they use which is energy efficient, long lasting and vibration resistant. It's rated for up to a hundred thousand hours of operation.
Now the light itself they do use military grade construction of the circuit board, which means they use urethane potting which gives you better protection than the common epoxy potting. It is compatible with 12 volt DC system and to install this you can see it is a recess mount installation, comes with the cover that the screws would go through. Now it does require a three quarter inch diameter hole for this light to fit into and it does require two screws for installation. Now the distance between this mounting hole center to center is one and one eighth inches. This will hard wire your application.
You can see the two wires, black and a white wire. One's a power, one's a ground. And the wire length is about seven inches. Input voltage is 9 volts to 14 volts, and we'll give you dimensions and then we'll go ahead and hook it up. So the overall length one end to the other is one and three quarter inches long.
The diameter on it, is just under an inch. So it's about 15, 16ths of an inch tall and the depth, is the same way up 15, 16ths of an inch. So again, what we're gonna do is go ahead and hook this up to some power. And once we got it hooked up, I'll go ahead and turn on the power and here you see your LED. I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead light. And you can see the one white LED. And as we mentioned, if you notice when the lights mounted, it does give the 90 degree lighting. So the lighting is designed to go straight down. Very bright light. Go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights. Turn off our power.
