Video Transcript for LED Step and Accent Light Review

Hi everybody. My name is Andy with etrailer.com. And today, we're taking a look at this recessed mount blue LED step and accent light. Now, this waterproof light is going to give you that 180 degrees of blue light for steps and walkways. And the downward angle is going to illuminate the area below. This light is gonna be great for upgrading or replacing your step or walkway, or even your cabinet and countertop lighting.

Now, currently, I have this connected to a 12 volt power supply. Let me show you what this looks like lit up. And keeping my studio lights on here for a second, you can see that blue light. Let me go ahead and turn my lights off just to give you a better idea of what this is like in the dark. Blue is my favorite color, so I really like the, the blue light that this gives off.

And again, it is emitting that light directly down. Now, I'm gonna turn my studio lights back on, and then go to my wide angle here just so you can see how bright it is with my overhead lights on from that distance. Now, this is a premium LED, so it's going to be long-lasting, and it is going to resist vibration, and it is going to be energy efficient. Now, this is sealed in a waterproof housing, and a clear impact-resistant lens is over that blue LED inside. This is a durable black cover that you see here on the outside of this light.

And inside, this circuit board is a military-grade construction. So, that's gonna add to the, the ruggedness and the durability of this light. The urethane potting offers better protection than common epoxy potting to manage heat. And this is a recessed mount installation, and it is included with a, it does have this grommet included. This is gonna require a 3/4 of an inch diameter cut-out for this light to be installed into.

Now, this light is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. It is a hardwire installation, so you're gonna have two wires. And for this light in particular, the black wire is gonna be ground, the white wire is going to be power. Let me pull out my ruler here and give you some overall dimensions. And the overall thickness, we are sitting right at an inch. And then the overall diameter, we are gonna be sitting right at an inch and a quarter. Now, the input, input voltage of this light is gonna be nine to 14 volts. And the power draw is going to be .02 to .04 amps. And the wire length is gonna be sitting right at about 7 1/2 inches long. And this light does have a limited lifetime warranty. Now, this light does sport a black plastic cover. If you're looking for a chrome finish, this light does come in a chrome plastic cover as well.
