Erickson Truck Bed Ladder Rack w/ Load Stops - Aluminum - 800 lbs
Just received the Truck Bed ladder rack yesterday and began to install it on my 2013 Nissan Frontier this morning. The package arrived in great shape. The rack looks great so far, it's well built and should handle everything I'll need it for; lumber and ladders. It's super easy to install. The only negative I have is I wish the triangular stops were easy to remove when not in use and easy to reinstall when needed. I may come up with something. Other than that, I am very happy with this purchase.
We have been using this for a year now hauling our 32 foot fiberglass ladder. Easy to install and remove each time. Great quality.

Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack - 1,250 lbs
Very heavy duty ladder rack that does not "whistle" while you drive down the road. Easy install overall, and it is very easy to install and remove the racks as needed after the original install. At the time of purchase this was not available for my vehicle with a short 5.5' bed, but with very minor fabrication the rails for longer beds fit perfectly. I have recommended this rack to several people since purchased a year ago.
Great product! Packaging could be better for the larger pieces (rub marks). My 2018 Ram 1500 quad cab came with some small challenges that I had to solve myself. No videos or written words available. Basically if your bed rails are covered with a bed liner you need to remove the plastic sleeve in the rear stake pockets. Otherwise you won’t get an equal spacing from one rail to the other. You will also need to use the provided rubber tape with the wedges in order to make the rails level. Otherwise it went together great.

Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Aluminum - 500 lbs - 68" Crossbars
Delivery - quick An incredibly strong rack. The adjustable height feature, very useful. It lets me put the kayak just inches above the roof. Look at them all, then buy a Yakima !
The rack is great. Simple to install, extremely sturdy & very well designed. I drove it to Cars & Coffee yesterday & someone asked me what I needed to haul or if I merely installed them "because they look cool." The young lady, Janeth, that helped me was really great! Smart, polite, patient, & above all... knowledgeable about product. I would suggest selling the rack specific for Retrax bed cover. The amount of hardware left over when you add the adapter kit to the standard rack seems really excessive. Rather than be $169 add, it should be a deduct of at least that much.

Erickson Over-The-Cab Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Steel - 1,000 lbs
It's a nice rack, sturdy and well thought out. However, the statement that it will fit a 2024 Toyota Tacoma is misleading. I did get it to fit, but it took a weekend of altering and fabricating parts. This is more a problem of the design of the truck than of the rack. The J-bolts are useless for this application. I had to unbolt the silly little plastic strip under the plastic rail on the truck and replace that with angle iron, then cut the rack's feet and re-weld some of the the round thingees where the J bolts would have gone through if the truck was built differently. Another option would be to drill and tap the metal rails under the plastic rails, but who wants to drill into a brand new truck? The etrailer people were super helpful but the Erickson people were not helpful at all.
Should work fine as intended. It is a bear to assemble. Tons of bolts I am worried will loosen over time. Just installed it today. Let’s see how it goes.

Thule TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Fixed Mount - 800 lbs - Silver
Best rack on the market, and I’ve owned many! This is my second set of TracRac ladder rack systems. The first in 2006, and it was still going strong until I sold the truck with the rack on it, and now this one I purchased in 2022. Unfortunately, this will be my last one as it will take me into retirement, but it will live on with the new owner that buys this truck! Thank you for manufacturing such a good quality product. Very clean appearance. Almost too much assembly work. I really like the wind noise reduction shape in the crossbars. I shortened the crossbars because the stuck out to far, a useless area. Surprised that no tiedowns or ratchet strap hook devices came with it. Therefore I drilled and tapped holes on the base plates for cleats. I also drilled the uprights adding pop rivet nuts where more cleats were added. I ran into a problem with the front base plates having to cut an opening in the final for a second clamp to be installed. I love its appearance. A good buy.

Erickson Truck Bed Ladder Rack w/ Load Stops - Steel - 800 lbs
Install wasn’t horrible but I can’t imagine removing it often. The stops naturally don’t slide on the rail but can be relocated without tools which is nice. Seems sturdy. The cons, it’s steel and has started rusting after two weeks in places the paint wore off during install. I will have to clean it up and repaint it to keep it from looking horrible. In addition, the J bolts sit pretty far off the side of my 2007 F150 so the bracket is hanging off the rim inside about an invh. Once all together it doesn’t seem to matter but would be more comfortable if it sat tight. Overall, it gets the job done but if looking for pretty, get something that doesn’t rust.
The product itself is of good quality. It is a heavy duty truck rack. They say it is adjustable but that is only if you have the wrenches with you. It took several hours to assemble it alone. The bolts need to be a little longer especially on the mounting sleeves and the top of the cross bars. The sliding mounts were quite difficult putting on as the sleeves were very tight, I recommend WD - 40. When it was to the point of installing the cross bars it was necessary to loosen the mounting sleeves and move them. I called customer service and sent several e-mails and received no responses . I plan on using it to carry my kayaks while pulling a travel trailer.

Thule Xsporter Pro Adjustable Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Aluminum - 450 lbs - Black
Ability to raise and lower the rack is very useful. It allows me to keep the boats as low to the ground/truck cab as possible for easier loading/unloading. I can raise the rear rack and load a motorcycle without removing it. I have removed the endcaps and run straps through the crossbars and was able to load two 17 aluminum canoes at once. Note, the endcaps are a bit delicate and extremely expensive to replace!
I recently made a 4 hour trip home after picking up a new kayak while using the following equipment for the first time: Thule Xsporter Pro Truck Bed Ladder Rack, Thule Hull-A-Port Kayak Carrier w/Tie-Downs - J-Style, Thule Watersports Adapter for Aeroblade/Aeroblade Edge Bars and Thule Bow/Stern Tie-Downs. I'm impressed with the performance of all of those components.

Thule Xsporter Pro Mid Overland Truck Bed Rack - Aluminum - 600 lbs
Bought this for my 2020 Toyota Tacoma and with the adapter kit (https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Thule/THXK4.html), it works perfectly for what I needed. Right now using it to haul two kayaks but eventually will be using it to haul a hardtop camper. Perfect midsize height. Very sturdy, somewhat easy to assemble (Thule instructions are pretty bare bones but once you get started it's pretty easy to follow).
It’s very well made, heavy duty. Looks good and should last a very long time. I’ve put my Yakima SkyBox 18 on it and we are ready for adventure.

Invis-A-Rack Folding Ladder Rack - Black Powder Coated Aluminum - 500 lbs
Great product. I use it to haul kayaks and lumber. It's surprisingly strong and sturdy. I put 300 lbs of lumber on it and never heard so much as a squeak. Installation was straightforward. I'll definitely buy another one for my next truck.
So far, so good. It arrived on time. The only things broken were two of the plastic "insert" pieces that go between the rails, but thankfully I only have a 5 1/2' bed, so I didn't really need them. I had it installed by the mechanics I was taking my truck to for other work and they said it installed pretty easily and one of the mechanics is going to get one for his own personal truck. We practiced setting it up and taking it down before I left. I can definitely do this on my own. I absolutely LOVE this product. I didn't want something that "whistled in the wind" or created drag every day even when I wasn't hauling the kayaks, so this is perfect. Thank you!

2017 Dodge Ram PickupRack has worked great hauling 20 foot lumber, 17 foot kayaks and standup paddle boards. The only issue I have had is the front cantilever bar over the cab is about 1" from the roof. If I hit a bump in the road it hits the top of the cab. I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Crew Cab short bed. Wish there was a little more clearance between the cross bar and cab.

More expensive than other racks but I was impressed with the quality of the components, the directions and even the packaging. I wanted racks that I could adjust as low as possible to ease the loading of kayaks and just clear the cab. These adjust to just about any height you'd want in 3/4 inch increments. My only doubt is whether the C clamps that secure the bases to the bed rails might loosen over time.

I ordered the TracRac SR (sliding rack) for my 2019 Ram 3500. It took a while to get here, probably due to the current situation weall in. It came in 3 boxes on 2 days. (Just so you know what you'll be looking for) everything was packaged very secure in the boxes. I order the Cantilever with mine, so I had to swap out a couple parts. No big deal. Everything was explained in the instructions. It took me about 3 hours to install. The hardest part was getting the bed rails to align. I got them within 1/16th of an inch. Good enough. The rack is a great addition to the truck. I stepped down from an 8ft bed to this 6ft 4in bed. So this was a necessity. The rack is solid. I'll be putting it to work right away

Very happy this product so far. The adapter kit worked great to mount them on my retrax bed cover. I have been hauling up to 2 kayaks and a rod rack on them and they work great. Very solid and they are the best looking racks I have seen on the road.
With this rack, you get what you pay for. It’s expensive and it’s worth it. Well built, quality paint, and once it on your truck, it’s as solid as a brick [house]. Best looking rack out there in my opinion.

Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack - 1,250 lbs
After a year of service, it has held up well. Have hauled lumber, ladders, and trim (16' pieces). It is a game changer. One of the greates pperks is being able to remove the racks when my family and I go on vacation. I also have the cantilever extension. You will need it to carry 16' material. Just be sure to secure the caps on the extension bar better. They are not metal like the other Trackrac bar caps. They are plastic with 1 screw holding it in place. One cap has dissapeared on me while driving. I cannot find a replacement as the extension bar cap is a different size than the standard TracRac bar caps.

Buyers Products Over-The-Cab Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Aluminum - 800 lbs
Absolute garbage. This is my second one in two years that has broke. 1st one broke the welds where the legs meet the actual rack. etrailer was kind enough to replace it under warranty. I shipped it to them and UPS lost it. Out $xxx due to UPS. I go ahead and buy a second one assuming I just received a faulty one. A little over a year later, same issue. Ladder rack is unusable. I have never put more than 300lbs on the rack. etrailer's customer support is excellent. This product is garbage though. Luckily I caught it before it broke off while driving potentially killing someone.

Now if you wanna put ladders or anything longer like that, keep in mind when you are putting 'em in here, you're gonna be very limited on space because of how high this ladder rack system sits. This is going to allow us to put a bunch of different attachments or does poal some of those longer loads, maybe without even going over the back end of our truck, we can go ahead and put two by fours, pieces of drywall bunch of pipe, whatever you guys are using. And of course some ladders, we're going to go ahead and throw these up here, put it over top of our calves. So we don't have to put one of those flags up on the back.And it's just not going to add any length to the back of our truck here.

What's really going to set this ladder rack apart from all the others is the fact that we can adjust the height when it's installed. So I'm going to lower this just so you guys can see it a little bit better, but we're going to have these knobs. So we're going to twist the knobs.And whenever we go ahead and loosen these up, as you can see, we start to be able to lower this down and they are numbered, which is nice, so we can get it nice and even, we don't really have to guess or anything like that. We should have about 32 different levels of adjustment, which is fantastic.
