Very heavy duty ladder rack that does not "whistle" while you drive down the road. Easy install overall, and it is very easy to install and remove the racks as needed after the original install. At the time of purchase this was not available for my vehicle with a short 5.5' bed, but with very minor fabrication the rails for longer beds fit perfectly. I have recommended this rack to several people since purchased a year ago.

Great product! Packaging could be better for the larger pieces (rub marks). My 2018 Ram 1500 quad cab came with some small challenges that I had to solve myself. No videos or written words available. Basically if your bed rails are covered with a bed liner you need to remove the plastic sleeve in the rear stake pockets. Otherwise you won’t get an equal spacing from one rail to the other. You will also need to use the provided rubber tape with the wedges in order to make the rails level. Otherwise it went together great.

Delivery - quick An incredibly strong rack. The adjustable height feature, very useful. It lets me put the kayak just inches above the roof. Look at them all, then buy a Yakima !

The rack is great. Simple to install, extremely sturdy & very well designed. I drove it to Cars & Coffee yesterday & someone asked me what I needed to haul or if I merely installed them "because they look cool." The young lady, Janeth, that helped me was really great! Smart, polite, patient, & above all... knowledgeable about product. I would suggest selling the rack specific for Retrax bed cover. The amount of hardware left over when you add the adapter kit to the standard rack seems really excessive. Rather than be $169 add, it should be a deduct of at least that much.

It's a nice rack, sturdy and well thought out. However, the statement that it will fit a 2024 Toyota Tacoma is misleading. I did get it to fit, but it took a weekend of altering and fabricating parts. This is more a problem of the design of the truck than of the rack. The J-bolts are useless for this application. I had to unbolt the silly little plastic strip under the plastic rail on the truck and replace that with angle iron, then cut the rack's feet and re-weld some of the the round thingees where the J bolts would have gone through if the truck was built differently. Another option would be to drill and tap the metal rails under the plastic rails, but who wants to drill into a brand new truck? The etrailer people were super helpful but the Erickson people were not helpful at all.

Should work fine as intended. It is a bear to assemble. Tons of bolts I am worried will loosen over time. Just installed it today. Let’s see how it goes.

Very well built and easy to install. Looks much nicer the the tubular rack on my old truck. I love that I can use this with my tonneau cover.

Product was carefully designed and the fit and finish are nice, but when you have to break out your taps to finish the job then one has to wonder about quality control. I would expect this sort of foolishness from a "b" grade item.

Best rack on the market, and I’ve owned many! This is my second set of TracRac ladder rack systems. The first in 2006, and it was still going strong until I sold the truck with the rack on it, and now this one I purchased in 2022. Unfortunately, this will be my last one as it will take me into retirement, but it will live on with the new owner that buys this truck! Thank you for manufacturing such a good quality product. Great rack for the money. Installation took about 2 hours as I didn't have the right sized ratchet socket pieces in my set. Once on it was great. Solid construction. Took my 14ft stand up paddleboard quite a few times and held up with speeds over 65mph.

Install wasn’t horrible but I can’t imagine removing it often. The stops naturally don’t slide on the rail but can be relocated without tools which is nice. Seems sturdy. The cons, it’s steel and has started rusting after two weeks in places the paint wore off during install. I will have to clean it up and repaint it to keep it from looking horrible. In addition, the J bolts sit pretty far off the side of my 2007 F150 so the bracket is hanging off the rim inside about an invh. Once all together it doesn’t seem to matter but would be more comfortable if it sat tight. Overall, it gets the job done but if looking for pretty, get something that doesn’t rust.

Ability to raise and lower the rack is very useful. It allows me to keep the boats as low to the ground/truck cab as possible for easier loading/unloading. I can raise the rear rack and load a motorcycle without removing it. I have removed the endcaps and run straps through the crossbars and was able to load two 17 aluminum canoes at once. Note, the endcaps are a bit delicate and extremely expensive to replace!

I recently made a 4 hour trip home after picking up a new kayak while using the following equipment for the first time: Thule Xsporter Pro Truck Bed Ladder Rack, Thule Hull-A-Port Kayak Carrier w/Tie-Downs - J-Style, Thule Watersports Adapter for Aeroblade/Aeroblade Edge Bars and Thule Bow/Stern Tie-Downs. I'm impressed with the performance of all of those components.

Bought this for my 2020 Toyota Tacoma and with the adapter kit (https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Thule/THXK4.html), it works perfectly for what I needed. Right now using it to haul two kayaks but eventually will be using it to haul a hardtop camper. Perfect midsize height. Very sturdy, somewhat easy to assemble (Thule instructions are pretty bare bones but once you get started it's pretty easy to follow).

It’s very well made, heavy duty. Looks good and should last a very long time. I’ve put my Yakima SkyBox 18 on it and we are ready for adventure.

Great product. I use it to haul kayaks and lumber. It's surprisingly strong and sturdy. I put 300 lbs of lumber on it and never heard so much as a squeak. Installation was straightforward. I'll definitely buy another one for my next truck.

So far, so good. It arrived on time. The only things broken were two of the plastic "insert" pieces that go between the rails, but thankfully I only have a 5 1/2' bed, so I didn't really need them. I had it installed by the mechanics I was taking my truck to for other work and they said it installed pretty easily and one of the mechanics is going to get one for his own personal truck. We practiced setting it up and taking it down before I left. I can definitely do this on my own. I absolutely LOVE this product. I didn't want something that "whistled in the wind" or created drag every day even when I wasn't hauling the kayaks, so this is perfect. Thank you!

Chose this rack because it is compatible with the Access Lorado Tonneau Cover. The rack is very well made and simple to install and remove, which I do often due to fifth wheel towing. I use this rack often for ladders and canoes, as well as long length construction materials. These Yakima Overhaul HD truck are outstanding! As a Mechanical engineer I can appreciate good quality workmanship and we'll engineers products. This rack system is certainly well engineered and we'll made. The installation was straight forward and the instructions are well writing. Less than hour to install and Yakima provides all the required tools. As for the etrailer folks, well I couldn't be more pleased. Easy to order and the order tracking was really cool. You were able to see your order as it traveled from eTrailer to your home. Everyone I dealt with at etrailer was very helpful. I'll be placing another order soon!!!

I've owned this truck for just over one year and had the kayak about the same amount of time. Due to the short bed, hauling the kayak in my bed was not an option. This meant I had to pull my trailer to the river/lake any time we wanted to take the kayaks out. I got this rack for my birthday and integrates perfectly with the Retrax bed cover. Just need the weather to get warmer now so we can take the kayaks out. the rack fits perfectly, it was a breeze to install. Everything lined up and installed exactly how it was illustrated. The etrailer team kept me informed on my shipment and it was delivered quickly. This is a great option supplied from a great company.

They fit my F-150 perfectly. I didn’t have to drill or cut anything. The directions were easy to follow and only had to use two Allen keys to install.

Very happy this product so far. The adapter kit worked great to mount them on my retrax bed cover. I have been hauling up to 2 kayaks and a rod rack on them and they work great. Very solid and they are the best looking racks I have seen on the road.

With this rack, you get what you pay for. It’s expensive and it’s worth it. Well built, quality paint, and once it on your truck, it’s as solid as a brick [house]. Best looking rack out there in my opinion.

After a year of service, it has held up well. Have hauled lumber, ladders, and trim (16' pieces). It is a game changer. One of the greates pperks is being able to remove the racks when my family and I go on vacation. I also have the cantilever extension. You will need it to carry 16' material. Just be sure to secure the caps on the extension bar better. They are not metal like the other Trackrac bar caps. They are plastic with 1 screw holding it in place. One cap has dissapeared on me while driving. I cannot find a replacement as the extension bar cap is a different size than the standard TracRac bar caps.

Absolute garbage. This is my second one in two years that has broke. 1st one broke the welds where the legs meet the actual rack. etrailer was kind enough to replace it under warranty. I shipped it to them and UPS lost it. Out $xxx due to UPS. I go ahead and buy a second one assuming I just received a faulty one. A little over a year later, same issue. Ladder rack is unusable. I have never put more than 300lbs on the rack. etrailer's customer support is excellent. This product is garbage though. Luckily I caught it before it broke off while driving potentially killing someone.

I give etrailer five stars.Great company,Great people,fast shipping However for the buyers products over the cab ladder rack I could only give four The rack is great Good welds and pretty easy to assemble.The instructions are a bit vague The picture on the box itself was actually what I ended up using instead.Also the bolts need to be bagged and tagged separately,rather than just all thrown into one giant bag to be sorted out.Do not be scared of this one,it is very easy to figure out

I think the bottle opener feature advertised should work! I emailed about that shortly after installing the product, even sending photos, and no one from your company every reached back out to me to resolve the issue.
