Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brakes - 10" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 3.5K
I placed my very first etrailer order on July 5th for the following items - Dexter Trailer Brake Kit (Code 23-468-469), Easy Grease Trailer Hubs x2 (Code AKHD-545-35-EZ-K) and Redarc Tow-Pro Elite (Code RED63RR). The shipment was received on July 7th but was missing right hand (RH) brake assembly that is part of the Dexter Trailer Brake Kit. The one brake assembly I received, and the Tow-Pro Elite were packed in an e-trailer box. The 2 Hubs were shipped in their product box only. E-trailer provides a nice log of the actions taking place on the order. My order went through 3 individuals (processed by, gathered by, packed by) who ALL missed my order being complete. One of the hubs had broken through the box and was taped back together. At the time, I could not tell if this happened in shipping or not. I found out later that this box had indeed been shipped this way. When I broke the box down to recycle, I noticed white writing on the inside of the box that wrapped up the sided (around the hole that was taped in the box). So, either the manufacturer or e-trailer shipped the box in this fashion. Pictures are attached to show this. I contacted e-trailer support via phone when I arrived home on July 7th and found the items. It was not an issue to get a RH brake assembly on its way to me. The e-trailer rep was not overall concerned with getting me a replacement for the hub. They stated something along the lines of "These are heavy and built to take a beating, let me know if there is an actual problem with it." I received shipping confirmation on July 7th that the RH assembly had been shipped. It wasn't until 7/13 that the RH assembly arrived. I received the first request for a review on July 7th about my order and experience to which I replied on July 10th. I had let them know I had some issues and was waiting for the rest of my missing order to arrive. I also mentioned that both the RH (Code 23-469) and LH (Code 23-468) assemblies that make up my kit were about ~$60 cheaper than buying the kit. Seeing as I received the individual items anyway and not the kit (pics of the e-trailer item sticker to show this) I asked if they could adjust the price for me (both of which are still cheaper today, July 19th). I received an initial response of "I'm sorry, but we would be unable to price match as we are unable to confirm the price of the items when the order was placed." and second response of "I'm sorry, but our prices can change every day due to are algorithm. We are unable to price match after an order has shipped as a result.". I cannot recommend etrailer and this will likely be not only my first, but last purchase with them as well. I thought I was choosing a reputable company but would have been better purchasing my products from Amazon where they are cheaper. Not even pricing matching your own products is another thing (due to their error of sending individual items). The thought of shipping out an already potentially damaged product and a shipping container that is compromised is appalling too. Is it so much trouble to ship the products in an actual shipping box rather than a product box that is not rated for shipment?
Everything fit and worked exactly as it should. Was grateful for the fast delivery.etrailer is the real deal.

etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes - Self-Adjusting - 10" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 3.5K
Great, fast shipping. Some people have said it needs better packing. I ordered two (Right and Left). One did arrive "ajar". However, it's easy to fix. Just get a ten-inch piece of 2x4 wood, and a hammer and knock it back into place. Use the wood between the hammer and the brake as a cushion. I will write an update after I install them. I am happy with my purchase. I don't think any more packing would help the "jarring out of alignment". The brakes are sort of spring-loaded. It can happen because of the springs and bummpy transportation. I will post an update after I install them and use them. I don't anticipate any problems. This is a honest review and five stars happy.
It's been about a year since i converted my boat trailer to electric brakes. I'm very happy with the results. Brakes are stronger and adjustable through the controller. It was cheaper than replacing all of the hydraulic parts (which was needed) and I love the fact that they don't engage when I'm trying to back up.

etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes - 10" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 3,500 lbs
PRODUCT FIT WELL AND APPEARS TO BE GOOD QUALITY PACKAGING WAS KIND OF SKIMPY AND ONE OF THE UNITS CAME APART BUT NOTHING CAME OUT OF THE BOX. FILLING THE ORDER TOOK QUITE A LONG TIME BUT UPS SHIPPING SEEMED TIMELY
Brakes were very poorly packaged and protected. One was damaged and I had to disassemble and reassemble. I read other reviews with the same complaints and was hoping it didn't happen to me but it did. A little bit of paper in the box doesn't keep it from getting damaged. Seems like the problem could simply be fixed so it doesn't happen to others.Oh well.

etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes - Self-Adjusting - 12" - Left/Right Hand - 5.2K to 7K
The items arrived in a timely manner however when unpacked there was virtually no filler among the items one tube of grease was crushed and the brake assemblies were scratched up. Luckily the seals were not damaged. Everything worked out but still disappointing as I’ve made numerous purchases from etrailer and had not had this issue before
Kit was as advertised and relatively easy to install. The only issue I see is the very light gauge wire coming from the brake assembly: while it’s probably sufficient for the amps pulled by the the brake magnets, it was difficult to splice to my 12ga trailer brake wiring (and some “experts” recommend 10ga trailer wiring). Would be great to supply gel filled multi-gauge splices with the break kits.

Hydraulic Brake Kit - Uni-Servo - Free Backing - Dacromet - 10" - Left/Right Hand - 3,500 lbs
This is my second install of this brake kit (2 kits each time). The first set lasted a little over 4 years and then fell apart. The linings fell off the shoes, jammed against the drum, and locked the brakes up. It is less than 5 miles round trip to launch my boat. I don't need to launch or retrieve the boat very often so that is maybe 200 miles over 4 years. Since all I needed were new brake shoes I was disappointed to find that my only choice was to replace the entire kit. While it is certainly easier to just unbolt the entire backing plate and everything on it, it is a very expensive way to replace brake shoes. Bottom line: they are easy to install and work great (until they don't).
I restored an old concrete buggy that I purchased surplus from a rental company. It was in pretty bad shape. I got it sand blasted. I painted it with Rustoleum. I installed new brake parts, master cylinder, and wheel bearing kits. Pretty big project but it came out great! Now I have a great little dual-axle dump trailer designed to carry a cubic yard of ready mix. Works great for short loads of concrete and for drain rock and landscape materials too. I had to use JB Weld to get a good seal on the new plastic master cylinder cylinder-to-brake-hose connection, which was a pain because it leaked and required multiple attempts to fix. Plastic threads on the plastic master cylinder didn't seal with teflon tape. They are easy to over torque/strip! Maybe I did that initially, but JB Weld fixed the problem. etrailer brake assemblies were easy to install and of very good quality. Fast shipping. Thanks!

etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes - 7" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 2,000 lbs
Great kit, upgrading my trailer from the surge brakes that came with the trailer to electric. One note about these that's mentioned in the comments and the video it does not come with nuts and washers to install on your trailer (mistake in my opinion) but for me not a big deal. Just go get enough washers and nuts for your install. 7/16 FINE thread. Easy install, have not used them yet, still overhauling trailer.
MAGNET CLIPS JUNK order arrived packing suxs springs and clips loose within the wrapping paper one brake adjuster was not attached and was loose floating around within the assy. throw away the magnet clips order the clips for the 10" ,dosent come with nuts to attach order 7/16-20 stainless steel nuts not a common thread size.

Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brakes - 12" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 6K
Installed these about 4 months ago, upgrading from 4-year old non-adjustable brake assemblies. Perfect fit on my Coachmen 336tsik. Installation of each assembly was easy: remove 5 bolts, cut 2 wires for the magnegtic actuator to remove the old assembly, then place the new assembly on and tighten 5 bolts to 50 ft-lbs. Then solder the wires together. I used heat-shrink tubing to insulate the connection. I replaced the 4 brake assemblies at the same time as I did my annual bearing repack, since the RV was already jacked up and I had the wheels off.
Have put 10k miles on them in just over a year and the brakes have performed very well.

Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 12" Rotor - 6 on 5-1/2 - Stainless Steel - 5,200 lbs to 6,000 lbs
Perfect fit and great price! Service from Etrailer was great, they even processed a price match for me a few weeks after delivery of my order. The service has been fantastic and I’m very pleased with the quality of these Kodiak Stainless Steel Brakes, Rotors and Hubs for my boat trailer after removing old leaf springs and upgrading to torsion axels. I’m also eliminating the surge brake actuator and going to electric over hydraulic for better performance and braking power and replacing all brake lines with Kodiak brake lines. I’ve included some before and after pics of the install for reference.
If you want trouble free brakes in a marine environment this is the only way to go. I have them on another trailer of mine for 10 years and no issues. Quinn was great to work with doing a sanity check on my selection to make sure I was ordering the right parts. Half of the order got missing within the UPS system, not etrailer's fault but several people worked well with me to get me a replacement set of parts. Was able to get concerned and knowledgeable help on the phone quicky in the several call I made. Amazing, they all speak English!!! Everyone can be great to deal with when there are no hiccups. The real test is to see how people deal with adversity and etrailer was great.

Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 10" Rotor - 5 on 4-1/2 - Dacromet and Stainless Steel - 3,500 lbs
Had a brake issue while on vacation. No problem, etrailer had brakes in inventory, good prices, fast shipping.
This is a great product and is easy to install. I have had Kodiak brakes on all of my boat trailers

Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brakes - 12" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 7K
Everything fit properly and installation went smoothly. All needed parts were included, which was nice. The self-adjust worked well and break-in was quick. I've only put about 1500 miles on the trailer since install, so I can't speak to longevity. I'd buy them again though.
Quality is top notch. Instructions were clear and installation went without a hitch. Delivery was actually a day early which was great.

Demco Hydraulic Brake Kit - Free Backing - Galvanized - 12" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 7K
I contacted your company to discuss replacing the discontinued brakes on my Trailmaster boat trailer and your Tech person was knowledgeable and accurate with his suggestions. Your website was great, and the videos you have available are perfect. I ordered that day, and I have never had better delivery. The Brake Kits I ordered look fantastic, and they installed very easy with no issues. Excellent product and Great informed people, I'll be back. Thank You. Keep up the great work.
Great product. Easy to install - MUCH easier than changing out individual components such as brake shoes. Don't cheap out by not getting the replacement mounting bolts. If your brake assemblies are bad enough to be replaced, so are the bolts (Ithink they should come with the brake assembly, not separately). This is the second time I have replaced the brake assemblies - no matter how good the galvanizing is, salt water eventually destroys them. Minimal adjustment needed after assembly with the hub.

Dexter Premier Disc Brake Kit - 10" Hub/Rotor - 5 on 4-1/2 - Dacromet - 3,500 lbs
Good quality! Fast shipping ! Customer service is the best . Definitely continue doing business with etrailer produce!
This kit went on great on my 2003 Shoreland’r single axle with disc brakes. I had to make some sharp pipe bends to connect the calipers to dodge the springs. The caliper and mounts are much better than what came with my trailer. The races being already installed was pretty sweet. Pack your bearings and drop it in!

Demco Hydraulic Brake Kit - Free Backing - Galvanized - 10" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 3.5K
Before you purchase this "kit", check the individual prices for each side. After my purchase, I checked the individual prices and they were LESS than what I paid for the kit which included both sides. I had paid extra for quicker shipping. That did not happen, so Etrailer did refund my extra shipping costs. I did leave messages to two separate employees about the pricing problem, but received no response. The backing plates did install easily and do work well, as the only snag to the installation was that the last set they sold me had mounting studs, not bolts. So if you have no bolts on hand, you just need to tap out the old studs and drill the holes in the backing plate a hair larger and the old studs will work just fine. Even though these are marine grade, give them a very thorough rinse after being in salt water, because even with a good rinsing the salt will tear them up pretty quickly.
This is my first time dealing with eTrailer. There videos, phone help, shipping, ease of tracking, and even packing were second to none. I did price shop and their prices were as low as anyone else. I very highly recommend them.

Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes - 10" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 3.5K
Installing these turned out to be a battle, in part due to user error working with solderless connectors. Once I abandoned these in favor of old-fashioned wirenuts, my problems mostly went away. However, I have one big concern about the quality of this product: while troubleshooting my electrical difficulties, I discovered that with 3 out of 4 brakes(!), a hard plastic (or some sort of non-metalic metal) shard had broken loose and was rattling around inside the brake drum. They appear to have split off the back of the magnet. Obviously I'm concerned that had I not pulled the drums off and discovered this, they could have interfered with the operation of the brakes and/or caused damage. Although etrailer has provided stellar service, Dexter should be made aware of this problem.
The brake parts were all correct for my application and installation was straightforward with minimal tools needed. I did take the extra step of soldering the wire connections because that is the best way to do it IMO. Stephen at etrailer was very helpful. He made sure I had all the right parts for my application. and they were on their way very quickly. I will say that I tried to use my local dealer first because I like to support local businesses, but unfortunately, they were having trouble finding the right parts for my trailer. When we did find them, they were 50% more expensive for the exact same parts that etrailer supplied. I would also have had to drive 80 miles round trip to get them. The reason for the 4-star rating is because of shipping/packing. The parts were heavy in large boxes with no packing material to hold them in place. Two of the hub sets were out of their boxes and there was a crushed grease cap. So, better packing to keep things in place in the boxes or use a smaller box would be nice. I attached a few pics of before and after also tmy very worn hubs. You can see that eh armature is worn down to the studs and the magnets are starting to show the coils. It was time. Also a short video or timelapse that I titled, Trailer Brakes in 18 seconds

Hydraulic Trailer Brake Kit - Uni-Servo - Free Backing - 10" - Left/Right Hand - 3,500 lbs
Fit form and function. So easy to install and adjust. Even comes with a cap for the bleeder screw, That is a must in MN if you ever need to bleed the brakes in the future.
My trailer is over 25 years old and my concern was if I was going to be able to get the right parts. Everthing was still the same as back then. Much easier to replace the whole Assembly as opposed to randomly replacing a part here and there. I now have a new trailer...well almost

Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes - 12" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 6,000 lbs
Fit perfect work outstanding! I bought these assemblies because they are Made in the USA. Only way to go.
They're genuine Dexter, they do what they are supposed to do. I was disappointed in etrailer for taking so long to get them. I use etrailer as my Dexter vendor, if they can't do any better I will be shopping elsewhere. If I wanted knock-off brand I would shop Amazon.

etrailer Hydraulic Trailer Brakes - Uni-Servo - Dacromet - 10" - Left/Right - 3.5K
High quality product, perfect fit on a 1990 boat trailer. And next day delivery !
Great bolt up for all components. In and out of ramp on the Oregon coast for three weeks and have rust on springs and connecting components. Backing plates are good but hardware seems a little week with rust problems.

Hydrastar Disc Brake Kit w/ Actuator for Tandem Axle Trailers - 13" Hub/Rotor - 8 on 6-1/2 - 7K
I purchased and I installed the Hydrastar Disc Brake Kit HSE7K-T1 along with the Prodigy P3 brake controller on my 42'fifth wheel. As the saying goes "why did I wait so long" , I have been running them for a few months now, I wanted to get some miles and testing on the system before I commented so after several roads trips now about 4000 miles I am very pleased. They have worked flawlessly. I have always been on edge when towing, especially in the mountains with the old electric drum brakes. Now I have so much more confidence in stopping and that lifted so much stress off me. The old electric drum brakes just never felt as if they would stop the trailer especially in an emergency stop, but now if you apply the brakes hard you can feel the trailer stopping the truck. I have never been able to lock up the tires on the camper till now. If you have a little mechanical knowledge the installation is not difficult as long as you plan things out and be patient. I did have a few hiccups with shipping and a few parts but thanks to Robert all issues were addressed and corrected ASAP and parts were shipped out to me immediately. A special shout out to Robert which answered so many of my questions and helped me with ordering everything I needed to install my kit. etrailer has always been a pleasure to work with. I will never have an RV without Disc Brakes again. Thanks again to Robert and etrailer.
Package was destroyed during shipping. Box was opened. I’m sending it back. Worried about missing, or damaged parts. Seals not protected at all. Loose in box. I’m very disappointed. I’ve gotten things from E-trailer in the past, and have been very happy with packaging. Maybe somebody in the shipping department was having a bad day?

Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 10" Rotor - 5 on 4-1/2 - Dacromet - 3,500 lbs
Everything was assembly fine until the last one. The copper inlet on the caliper snapped in half. Other 3 went together fine then this one just snapped. Not sure if I can get that fitting out of the caliper or not! Is there a way to replace that? Thanks
Nice replacement for older Kodiak disc brakes. The quality looks like it's pretty good, but only time will tell since. The kit was simple to install if you already have similar style setup and axle mounting bracket. This disc brake kit - Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 10" Rotor - 5 on 4-1/2 - Dacromet - 3,500 lbs was used with the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator w/ Electric Lockout - Disc - Zinc - 2" Ball - 7,000 lbs
