Best 2019 Ford Transit T350 Bike Racks

Bought to carry two 60 pound e-bikes on our class C RV and it worked great.

I'm a senior e-biker who wishes to roll back the years, but that isn't possible. I drive a 2020 Chevy Equinox and have two electric bikes, which I had carried on a small rack. I saw the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes and resisted no longer. A few days later, my package was delivered. That night, I read and re-read the assembly instructions. It went together well, with no glitches. The hitch is super sturdy. No wiggle room at all. Once together, I loaded up my heaviest bike, mindful of using one of those metal bars for support since it's a low-step bike. (Remember, I'm a senior. Legs don't swing high like they once did.) Photos accompany them to show how she will ride. This will allow me to explore farther and go places I could not have before I had this rack. I like the ability to flatten it when not in use. This will also allow me to haul my granddaughter's bike together here in South Jersey or, as in "Toy Story," "To infinity and beyond."

Works for my fat tire bike. Once it's set up, it's easy to install and remove. I had to cut out some of the plastic cladding on the underside of my bumper on my 2014 Subaru Outback. Good value. I've had no issues.

GI love the Rack, it is easy for me to handle, (as a 89 yearold rider.), two bikes ride and fit very nicely. Like how it folds down,and how it folds to open the tailgate . Great quality for the money, I would highly recommend this rack

I can't say enough good things about this bike rack.I was going to go with a cheaper model but I'm glad I spent the extra money for this Saris.The rack installs and comes off the hitch quickly.The bikes also are easy to load and unload.This thing is great.The first one got ruined by the carrier and etrailer sent me out a new one immediately.Top notch service.

Thanks to etrailer’s excellent information, I managed to find a bike rack that would carry 2 e-bikes and work with my existing class I 1-1/4 in receiver. I had the added challenge that I carry the bikes on a car that I tow behind my RV, so it needed to be rated for a tow vehicle. The Saris Superclamp EX met all my criteria, and for a reasonable price. I was also happy to find that it’s made in the USA. Install was fairly easy, couple of minor hiccup’s as I figured out the drawings, which, to be honest, weren’t entirely clear. But it’s pretty intuitive, so just added an extra minute or two, and probably wouldn’t phase the more mechanically minded. I’m a somewhat out of shape 50’s female, and I don’t have any trouble moving the rack around, it’s a nice weight and fairly compact when collapsed. It’s very easy to access the hatch when the bikes are not mounted. Haven’t tried it with bikes on yet. Once installed, it is rock solid. Loading my 45ish lb bike (with battery removed) is doable. In a perfect world it would have a ramp, but given my other criteria were met, I’m happy to do without the ramp. The rack seems like it holds the bike firmly during transport so overall, I’m extremely happy with my purchase. Also, there wasn’t a ton of unnecessary packaging to get rid of, but things were well protected in shipment. Customer service from etrailer is stellar as well, they helped quickly with a minor issue. I installed this rack onto a Curt trailer hitch which is mounted onto a 2017 Honda Fit. I have been using it intermittently for several months, probably about 5 times with one bike and twice with two bikes. I give some pros and cons below and then elaborate. Pros: easy to assemble, easy to mount and dismount bikes, easy to lock and unlock, how to put the rack into different positions is intuitive Cons: inconvenient to put the rack into different positions, inconvenient to mount the rack onto the hitch, rack protrudes about 15 inches from bumper when in flipped up position (seems very vulnerable to someone backing into it in a parking lot, very inelegant looking I say the repositioning is intuitive because there is really only one way you could possibly place the pins for each position. But removing and replacing two pins is much less convenient than turning a knob or a lever, like some racks do. Also many racks fold and flip in such a way as to look very unobtrusive when in non-use mode. This one looks like kind of a monstrosity. That does not really bother me but it might bother some owners. The part that does bother me is how far it protrudes from the car. I back into parking spaces whenever possible to avoid someone bumping into the rack and damaging it (which happened to a friend). My number one suggestion for Curt is related to mounting the rack onto the hitch. Make it easier to tell when the holes are lined up so that the bolt/pin will fit and thread. As it is now, if you insert the rack as far as it can go it is way too far in. Ideally, it would be exactly lined up. Failing that, maybe some kind of click or other feedback to know at least that you are in the neighborhood. It would also be great to have an attaching device that is easier to fasten and unfasten than is the bolt/pin. Tip for mounting the rack onto the hitch: I assumed that it would be awkward to hold, what is it 46 pounds?, while trying to line up the rack probe with the receiver. If you have a garage with exposed collar ties, my solution could work well for you. I looped a cargo strap over a collar tie. Then I hooked both hooks of a bungie onto that loop. The idea is that you hook one of the bike frame holders of the rack onto the bungie, suspending the rack a few inches off the garage floor. This takes most of the weight of the rack so that you can just pull up or down and forward until you line up with the receiver. Tip for mounting bikes. Don't put the little screw into the post that prevents you from completely removing the bike frame holders. Remove both holders. Position the first bike, slide the holder into place, position the second bike, slide the holder into place. I found this makes it much easier, because you avoid parts of the bike hitting the holder as you are trying to get the wheels into place. The trick is that if you are mounting only one bike, don't forget to put the second holder back on - or maybe just stick it inside the car right away.

Have used mine several times in the past 2 years on the back of a ‘21 Honda Pilot and a ‘19 Ram 1500 Classic. I really like that the platform will tilt downward allowing the Pilot rear hatch to open with no interference. The tailgate on the Ram doesnt open fully even with the platform tilted downward, but that is a Ram problem & not a Curt problem. Was well worth the money.

Neat design. That's the only positive. Shows up in a million pieces. Surface rust on some of it already. Need a hammer to use "quick release" pins to pivot. 1 1/4" adapter is not long enough for either car I tried, unless your hitch sticks out PAST your bumper don't even bother. Had to trim 2" section of rack to make it fit hitch. Had to grease pivot section because rough surface finish would NOT allow rack to pivot. If I didn't need it (and didn't spend 2 hours assembling) I would have sent it back. Worst bike rack I've bought since a K-mart contraption 30 years ago.

The bike rack is made for bikes with no fender, our bikes have fenders and a rack over the back tire. We added some padding for the back tire so the rack doesn't get scratched, it works just fine our bikes are secure.

Perfect for my needs, 2 bikes load easy and are secure. Gear tray is perfect dimensions for cooler and gear bags.

This thing is well built and Heavy! should work well for my needs. definitely have to load heavier things on the driver's side as it is off center and tilts to the passenger side when not loaded with gear. I also got the tabletop which now I realize is useless for my application. I am using this on my truck with a truck camper in the bed. this makes the table attachment shoulder high. wheels for the wheel kit at pneumatic and flat so I guess I will have to add air every time I intend on using them, I thought the description said they were solid wheels, but I must have read something wrong cause they are definitely phonematic.

Almost the perfect bike rack for the Promaster. No complaints after a year of use. Thousands of miles with road bikes, gravel bikes, and modern mountain bikes on there and no problems that weren't my own. And if you are creative, you can use the rack for other things, like carry a storage box or traction tracks. Well worth the money if you want to keep your hitch free for other things.

Absolutely love this rack. We have 2 of the smaller REI e-bikes but they come close to the max recommended weight. I take off the batteries to keep it under. After 1 year we have had no issues. I appreciate the clamp style lock because I also added a cable lock for extra protection and one time while we were hiking someone cut the cable, but the bikes were still securely locked by the rack, so they must have gave up at that point. The only advice I would give (especially when heavier like ours) is that when closing the door, I keep my left hand on the bike to stabilize it so it doesn't "bounce" when the door shuts. I just don't want any unnecessary pressure on the system. Great product overall allows our van to not be any longer than needed.

I've been looking a eBike racks for about a month and finally decided on this Swagman rack because it's rated for use on an RV. That's what I needed because it will be on the back of my travel trailer. I had it on my wish list on another site but etrailer had it for $[XX] less, so I jumped on it. It was fairly easy to put together, I installed it on the hitch on my truck so I wouldn't have to wrestle with it on the floor of my garage, that made it easy to assemble. This rack is very well built, and is very solid, it doesn't move while on the hitch on my truck (I installed the RV hardware) so I have no doubt that in will be fine on the back of mhy travel trailer.

So far so good! I have used it on the back of my Jeep Grand Cherokee and on the back of our travel trailer. It is a pretty solid e-bike rack. I would definitely recommend this e-bike rack. We did purchase it for using on our travel trailer, but also works great on the back of our cars, which have 2" hitch receivers. On the travel trailer we also installed a Draw-Tite Hitch, along with a Curt 14" hitch extender for 2" trailer hitches and a Malone anti-rattle hitch lock system. We purchased everything from etrailer. I am very happy with how all of this works together for hauling our e-bikes on the back of our travel trailer.

We love this rack. Both my wife and I use it all the time. I can mount and remove it in less than 5 minutes. I often transport 2 substantial ebikes. When we ride together, either of us is able to load and unload both of our bikes in less than 8 minutes. This is a solid rack and the price was definitely right. And when not in use it folds up neatly behind the bumper.

Excellent bike rack. I had a very small issue trying to hook up the hitch part, but all went well. Also, I received excellent customer service from Sara. She was very helpful and extremely friendly. It was a pleasure receiving great customer service from Sara.

As someone with extensive manufacturing experience, I can say this is a sturdy and robust product that will work well for anyone who can follow directions and mount bikes correctly on it. Having said that, there are a few items people should be aware of that can cause users some issues. The included “ramp” is not tall enough to work with a standard size pick up’s trailer hitch. I have a dodge ram 1500 series and the rack sits way too high when mounted on the truck hitch for the ramp to even touch the ground. If you plan on using a standard size pick up or a suburban or Denali type vehicle and are planning on using with heavier bikes or ebikes, buy the longer ramp made by Thule to help with getting your bikes on the rack. It costs about $[XX] and won’t nest inside the rack like the shorter one. But if you have heavier bikes or have issues lifting your bike, it’s a must have. In my opinion, Thule should have designed it with the longer ramp to start with to accommodate standard size trucks and SUV’s but it is what it is. The mounting struts take a bit of getting used to in order to configure properly to fit your bikes. Make sure you aligned your pedals and frame so that the bike nearest the back of the vehicle doesn’t rub against the frame of the rack before locking the bike into place. Once you find the proper pedal alignment for your particular bike, everything clamps down nicely and is very sturdy. Overall, aside from the ramp issue adding another $[XX] to the cost of the rack, I’m pleased and it should last for years. The locks are a nice feature as well. Protects your rack and your bikes from theft.

This is a well designed rack. Adding and removing bikes is quick & easy. Just set the bike on & slide the padded hook down onto the bike frame to secure it; no straps required. If only one bike is transported, it does not interfere with opening the trunk on our Tesla Model 3. With 2 bicycles the trunk cannot be opened. For 2 bikes the Swagman model that can tilt might be worth the extra 22 bucks. This rack uses a bolt in the receiver hitch instead of a pin. This locks it securely preventing it from moving in the hitch & rattling. It also requires a wrench to remove it, good for theft prevention but one more thing to keep track of. For storage on the vehicle the top bar folds down. For storage in the garage, the left & right bars fold up & you can hang it using one of the hooks.

So far so good. The rack wiggles a bit, but that is expected. I have it on my 2007 Corolla and I have hit 65+ on the highway with it and have not had a problem. I would recommend getting a locking pin. The one included is threaded, which aside from security, makes it harder to take the rack on and off. I would also look into a DIY way to secure the wheels better. I am using some bungee straps which do the job no problem. The two bikes I carry are at the racks capacity.

This bike rack has worked well for our family of 4. It allows us to safely and securely carry all 4 bikes through the mountains of Colorado with our Hallmark Milner truck camper. Strong and durable rack that barely moves when driving. etrailer's customer service was outstanding. The rack was initially delayed and after one phone call to check status a warehouse manager quickly solved a minor issue and got the rack shipped. etrailer was fantastic in managing this transaction with extremely limited staffing. etrailer is the first place I check for anything recreation as I've never had anything but stellar service.

Excellent rack, a year later still in great condition. No movement at hitch when driving like other racks. Love the extra bar to work on bike in parking lot. Cracked a part on the rack when backing up accidentally hit it, I called the company and they immediately sent out new part no questions asked and rack is like new. Easy to access the drop and raise bar even with bikes on .A note that with larger mountain bikes only three really fit on the four rack without adjusting handle bars. We have two electric bikes which fit on it perfectly. Very easy to operate and hook up to our Rivian R1S. Highly recommend it!

This bike rack is awesome. Our two e-mountain bikes fit perfectly on the rack. We have taken them on long road trips with no issues. Great bike rack.

I only used this rack 2 times and I would love to sell it. It is extremely heavy although well constructed. It is designed for heavy eBikes, however lifting and mounting 60 lb. bikes high enough for this rack is a challenge. Once on the rack, positioning the two bikes so that they do not conflict with each other is ridiculously difficult. On and off the rack multiple times to get adjusted properly. And you best take a picture of how you finally got them mounted. God forbid you put the bikes on differently the next time. If you have a Jeep Wrangler with the rear mounted spare you’ll need a hitch extension, which then causes the rack to extend so far away from the vehicle it is kind of comical to look at. Plus, it doesn’t fold up so once remove your bikes and try to park your vehicle, you have to account for an additional 4 feet behind you. Last but not least, my bike has painted rims. The bikes hang on the rack by the rims. The continued vibration after just a 400 mile trip caused the rack arm to wear through the paint on one of my rims. There are better options out there! I found one that is truly awesome and extremely easy to use. A little more expensive than this rack but worth every penny. The Lets Go Aero rack was an $XXX mistake.

Awesome rack. Just what I hoped it would be. High quality and very solid. We have two heavy e-bikes. Both have fenders and one has 4" fat tires and the other has a step-down frame so both the conventional wheel and frame mount platform racks simply gave me little confidence that they would work. This rack can carry anything. And with four points of support on each bike I have much greater peace of mind. Some reviews slam it for the weight. However, the arms are easily removable thus reducing the remaining support to roughly 50lbs, or the same as most other bike racks. Each of my bikes are heavier than the main support. I do not find the weight to be a problem. And detaching the arms also allows for very efficient and compact storage (see photo). Lastly, the only downside I can see is that the rack does not fold up on the vehicle when not in use. However, this loss of function is more than made up for by these trade-offs: 1. Very high quality, 2. The cool and super easy slide out/away feature and, 3. A highly robust attachment system (4 points for each bike). I am highly satisfied with this excellent and well-priced product.

Super easy to load 4 bikes and go. Takes me 5 minutes to get all 4 on the rack, compared to 15-20 with the rack I had before. I would change nothing honestly. It's a fantastic rack. It has performed great. I can now quickly load 2 kids bikes and 2 adult bikes on the rack with no special adapters. We can hit trails faster and spend more time riding. There is no real downside. It's also significantly cheaper than competitors and provides a much easier and smooth experience. Is it a great rack for small families who want to ride together. No adapters needed for different sized bikes and super easy to load and unload. I would not recommend this particular model if you don't plan on using more than 2 slots. But for 3 or 4 it rules.

One year in and it is great. I have a 2021 Subaru accent and it is perfect. We carry 4 adult bikes and while it is a tight fit it works great. The rack is VERY solid and does not move when tightened up. Over the past year we have used it 3-4 times with no issues so far. It is easy to use and one person can easily load and unload the bikes. The tilt up feature is nice and when the rack is down and there are no bikes we can open the back hatch without an issue and there is plenty of clearance. We have been very happy with the performance and the price.

This is the 2nd time I have purchased this bike rack and it a good fit for the Sprinter van. The rack is sturdy and pretty easy to load while not taking up a lot of space. It does take a couple of days to install due to drying times on the adhesives for the rails that mount to the door.

The Thule Elite Van XT2 Bike Rack is just what I expected but the install instructions leave something to be desired. Nothing but pictures trying to describe the install. Even a few poorly worded sentences would have been helpful in some places. I have seen this noted in other reviews and [online]. Otherwise a quality product and I have been able to integrate it with my Kuat swing arm and bike rack that we were already using. I wanted to be able to add a 3rd bike to our setup without extending the length and still be able to open the rear doors without removing a bike. This all worked out with just a little modification. I did move the Thule bike rail install point 1.5" above the center install position to allow clearance over my wife's ebike. See photos.

I use it to carry 2 Fat Tire E-Bikes, First if your bike has a front fender you're in trouble and you'll have to improvise the front wheel hold down. I also had to order new rear wheel hold down straps because the ones it came with are for smaller tires. The biggest problem is when hitting a large bump in the road the rack would drop down to it's 45 degree loading angle and if your bikes are not secure you're going to lose them. Using the 4 bike setup is putting ton of stress on your hitch.

Excellent customer service and super fast delivery! Bike rack is true to Thule quality and workmanship. The rack is sturdy and the bikes completely secure. Bikes do not touch each other at all. The rack is quite heavy, but not too hard to handle and load.

I am very pleased with this hitch! Fit my bikes very nicely. Easy to assemble. Rack looks great on my Mazda cx-30. Customer service is very responsive.

A very good, inexpensive, lightweight bike rack. Folds nicely and doesn't interfere with the hatch opening on our 2023 XC40. I wouldn't consider this a heavy duty rack, more suitable for short trips to the riding trails. Good for urban living, as opposed to 4 wheeling out to a mountain destination. Several plastic components. Two things I dislike is 1) the hitch pin lock is cheesy plastic, and because of the threading bolt on the rack's hitch, you can't use a sturdier 5/8" locking pin. and 2) the cotter pins should have a small security cable.

Good mount over-all. Item was delivered without the packing straps. Not sure if the package was opened prior to shipping. There were no missing parts. The mount seems to function normally. I do have one complaint - the mount is not level when attached to my Ridgeline 2" hitch. My hitch is in perfect condition - unused prior to the purchase of this mount. The mounting bolt for the hitch is fully tight, but still the mount is crooked to right by 1 inch. Oh well - not a deal breaker.

We have two e-bikes and researched for a rack substantial enough to carry them long distances. The RockyMounts Monorail is doing the trick. We remove the batteries and seats. Based on other's advice, we put pieces of foam pipe insulation over the straps and braces that contact the bikes. Also, just for overkill, put additional cinch straps over the front tire rim at the wheel support. I also fabricated a license plate holder because the plate is obstructed on the SUV. The quality of construction and ease of assembly are both outstanding.

For the price, the quality really isn't there. The tail lights are not weatherproof and use clunky incandescent lamps which are a PITA to remove. The backup light is only implemented on the right side. Both could have had backup lights for the addition of one bulb and the connection of one more wire. And the mount doesn't really fit my step-through Specialized COMO ebike. If the frame had been slightly higher, that would have helped a lot. If I'd been able to try the rack locally, I would not have kept it. But the cost to return makes that prohibitive

My husband bought the bike rake specifically to carry out 2 Specialized Ebike’s which weight 62 to 65 pounds each. MWith this rake I don’t have to lift my bike up which is great when I’m alone. The only problem I’ve had is the outside bike straps. One of the ratchets broke and E-Trailer was wonderful in helping get us a replacement. My husband put the new one on. I do have friend’s that will be purchasing them in spring. The only complaints I have would be to Saris. Placement of the outside straps. It’s awkward latching them. Also, when my husband bought the rack the maximum weight load was more. They changed it to a lower amount.
