Slide-Out Platform for Easy Rear Hatch Access

 Slide Out Design

The V-Lectric's TwinTube base slides out up to 22-1/2" away from the back of your vehicle so you can easily access your rear cargo area. It provides more access to your cargo area than standard, tilt-away bike racks.

Padded, V-Shaped Support Arms

 V-Shaped Arms

The V-Lectric has V-shaped arms that distribute weight evenly, holding your bikes by the wheel, so it won't scratch or scuff the paint. They keep your bikes level and eliminate the need for bike frame adapter bars normally required for mounting women's, children's, and alternative frame bikes on a hanging-style bike rack.

 Adjsutable Wheel Cradles

Thick pads on the arms help keep your bikes from banging into the rack and getting scratched.

 Adjustable Wheel Cradles

The arms can be removed for access to your vehicle's rear cargo area with your bikes unloaded. The rack's arms and shank also break down small enough that you can easily store the rack in your trunk when not in use.

Adjustable Wheel Cradles and Sway Stops

 Adjustable Wheel Cradles

The upper wheel cradles adjust independently so that your bikes hang level on the rack. For support, adjust the lower sway stops so that they are flush against the bottom of your tires. To secure your bikes, pull the rubber strap on each cradle and sway stop over the wheel and hook the tightest hole around the peg at the end of the cradle.

Complete Security

 loaded on vehicle

The rack includes locks to secure your bikes to the rack and the rack to your vehicle. A cable lock threads around your bikes' frames and secures to the pin found at the front of the rack. A lock on the hitch pin secures the rack to your vehicle. The locks are keyed alike, so you only need to use 1 key.

loaded on vehicle

The threaded hitch pin helps eliminate rattle in the hitch receiver during transport.

This is a very heavy duty rack and my two 70 lbs e-bikes fit on great! It was also very easy to assemble.

by:

First this was the only ebike rack that we could find that was recommended for travel trailers or fifth wheels. Now that it has arrived I see why. Its heavy gauge metal and rated to hold 300 lbs.
We will be carrying 2 YOLO e-beach cruisers that go about 75 lbs each.
This rack is well worth the cost and is a quality product.

by:

The rack is perfect for our e bikes which are large and quite heavy . Like that it’s rv rated, supports the bike securely and the ramp feature is a back saver.

by:

Arrived with a knob broken off during shipping. William responded promptly and shipped a replacement. Great product!!

by:

Very sturdy bike rack. We have 2 Adventon Adventure 2 step thru fat tire bikes. The ramp is nice and long, which makes it easier to load and unload bikes. Good assembly instructions.
etrailer was great to work with, very informative and helpful…and the delivery was a day early.

by:

Works great for our two Aventon Adventure E-Bikes. It is well built with the exception of the loading ramp. It could use a better securing system at the top and more ground contact surface on the bottom. Tends to flex from one side to the other when loading the heavier bikes.

by:

We are using this rack with our two Aventon Sinch 2 ebikes. It takes an hour to set both bikes and secure. It also has rubbed the paint off the bikes in a number of places. The rubber on the tire bars that secure the bikes is and has rubbed off. I would not suggest this rack to anyone.

by:

I only used this rack 2 times and I would love to sell it. It is extremely heavy although well constructed. It is designed for heavy eBikes, however lifting and mounting 60 lb. bikes high enough for this rack is a challenge. Once on the rack, positioning the two bikes so that they do not conflict with each other is ridiculously difficult. On and off the rack multiple times to get adjusted properly. And you best take a picture of how you finally got them mounted. God forbid you put the bikes on differently the next time. If you have a Jeep Wrangler with the rear mounted spare you’ll need a hitch extension, which then causes the rack to extend so far away from the vehicle it is kind of comical to look at. Plus, it doesn’t fold up so once remove your bikes and try to park your vehicle, you have to account for an additional 4 feet behind you. Last but not least, my bike has painted rims. The bikes hang on the rack by the rims. The continued vibration after just a 400 mile trip caused the rack arm to wear through the paint on one of my rims.
There are better options out there! I found one that is truly awesome and extremely easy to use. A little more expensive than this rack but worth every penny. The Lets Go Aero rack was an $XXX mistake.

by:

Awesome rack. Just what I hoped it would be. High quality and very solid. We have two heavy e-bikes. Both have fenders and one has 4" fat tires and the other has a step-down frame so both the conventional wheel and frame mount platform racks simply gave me little confidence that they would work. This rack can carry anything. And with four points of support on each bike I have much greater peace of mind. Some reviews slam it for the weight. However, the arms are easily removable thus reducing the remaining support to roughly 50lbs, or the same as most other bike racks. Each of my bikes are heavier than the main support. I do not find the weight to be a problem. And detaching the arms also allows for very efficient and compact storage (see photo). Lastly, the only downside I can see is that the rack does not fold up on the vehicle when not in use. However, this loss of function is more than made up for by these trade-offs: 1. Very high quality, 2. The cool and super easy slide out/away feature and, 3. A highly robust attachment system (4 points for each bike). I am highly satisfied with this excellent and well-priced product.

by:

Put the rack together with ease, attached to camper fine. Bikes fit great and were fairly easy to get on and off once we figured best way for them to ride. Will be traveling soon with them but rack and bikes seem very secure. Pics are on the back of fifth wheel trailer.

by:

I carry two Lectric XP 2.0 ebikes with this rack on the back of my travel trailer. The construction is great! I only wish the wheel hanger spans had more adjustment flexibility to accommodate these smaller wheels. I hang the rear wheels at the preferred 12 o'clock position and have to hang the front wheels in at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions instead the preferred 12 o'clock positions to reduce potential damage to the wheel spokes. So far, no problems!

1 year later, still doing great without any problems.

by:

It’s early. Just put on and did a short drive to check my installl. Took 2.5 hrs to put together and load bikes. The bike loading took awhile and it’s a two person job with two 55lbs ebikes. Once set though it should go faster. The rack got here two days earlier than first advertised. Some of the pieces could/will be upgraded to better quality and the arms secured with non locking pins will be changed out to reduce the little wobble it has.

Wonderful bike rack. We drove over 2500 miles with our two 55# e-bikes on it behind our travel trailer this winter. Plus have used it behind our pickup. It works as described. It is a bit beefy but it takes me less than 10 minutes to set up or remove from use. Just what I needed.

by:

As designed it's rock solid. but it's difficult to use because the bikes are heavy and they have to fit perfectly on the posts which is hard to do. you sent me a conversion kit last year which was appreciated and it's easier to roll the bikes up and secure. However the ramp is flimsy and the metal thin. i believe there are similar, better designs available. i do appreciate your service which is very good and rare these days but the product is inferior as it is today. i would not purchase again.

by:

Very heavy duty rack system perfect for the Rv trailers with back access needs. Our RV trailer has a back door and spare tire, yet this rack allows us to access everything while mounting two heavy ebikes!

Works great.. has not broken or worn with thousands of miles, no rust and holds two heavy electric bikes securely.

by:

Bought it to put two Fat tire e-bikes on the back of our Jeep which we are pulling behind our Class A MH. Rack is a little heavy, but we’ll made. Two 73lb e-bikes easily behind the spare tire on the rear of the Jeep. Just got back from a 7000 Mike cross country trip. Rack worked perfectly. Bikes are solid with very minimal wobble. I did break one rubber tie, so I recommend getting a couple more. The bikes block the rear taillights on the Jeep so I also bought magnetic tail lights to stick on the back rails of the hitch. These worked great. I would note, it is a two person job to hang the inside bike (fat tire e-bikes are heavy).

by:

It's a nice solid bike rack for heavy bikes. I bought it because it is travel trailer approved. But it's tough to line your bikes up the first time and it is extreemly heavy and it does not fold out of the way when attached to your hitch. If your not a strong person you should probably stay away from this rack. But, if you need a strong rack that is travel trailer approved, this is the rack for you. Sacrifice one thing for another.

by:

Unit is very sturdy. It takes about 2-3 hours to assemble. The slide mechanism use a wax film to achieve low-friction movement. This could be better executed with a linear ball slide design to reduce movement. Locking mechanism would be sufficient to secure in place. Part 'AA' Cradle Housing is delivered in left and right hand designs. This is not explained during Step 10 assembly. Sort parts before assemble to get four of each design. No specific instructions are presented to locate 'N' Base on 'M' Slide Tubes. A guide for clearance calculations would be helpful.

Purpose of this product is to transport two eBikes weighing 65 pounds each. Lifting bikes onto rack is a two person job. Setting the rack into hitch is a two person job. In other words, this thing is heavy, so be careful with your back. I added a EcoHitch class III receiver (Item # 306-X7326) on my Kia Soul rated for maximum tongue weight: 300 lbs. Given that the rack weighs 75 pounds and two eBikes weigh 130 pounds, this rack is certified to carry the weight, even over rough roads.

I flat tow the Kia with invested $4,000 in eBikes, so the assurance for this racks justifies my purchase.

by:

Heavy duty! Too adjustable! Takes a while to get bikes loaded back to same exact way each time. Stopped using and bought different brand.

by:

these bikes are heavy tring to fit them on. the buttom wheels don't sit on the bar.

by:

One of lower wheel cradles will not lock into place need to have this one cradle replaced please.
Over all I am happy with the bike rack it is sturdy well put together and easy to use. One exception the threaded pin for the 2" receiver on the truck, why is not a slip in pin instead it has spring nut?

Jenny N. profile picture

I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you. The threaded hitch pin with the spring nut allows for the pin to work as an anti rattle device for the bike rack. It will help to prevent movement in the hitch receiver. Most bike racks will have their own type of hitch pin that is brand specific.

I have a great solution for you. Even though the independently-adjusting cradles on the Yakima OnRamp # Y36FR eliminate the need of a bike frame adapter bar, the OnRamp is not safe to use on the back of a flat-towed vehicle. • Can Hitch Mounted Bike Racks be Used on the Back of a Flat Towed Vehicle
That's not surprising. Some bike racks are rated to be used behind a towed vehicle or trailer but not most. Also, it wasn't until recently that a lot of the rack manufacturers started giving a yay or nay on a towed vehicle. Most have taken the stance of saying "no" at this point unless the rack was specifically designed for trailer user. There's more movement the further back you get whether it be on the back of a motorhome, trailer, or towed vehicle. This causes more stress on a hitch...
