If you have a tow bar from a different manufacturer, an adapter may be available. etrailer offers adapters for use with other manufacturer's tow bars so that you don't have to go through the added hassle and expense of replacing your tow bar when outfitting your new towed car with base plates.

2018 Ford Fiesta
During installation we experienced some issues with part alignment between the base plate and bumper assembly causing the facia the to need trim back the facia all the way to the painted section. The hood and facia fit is tight.

- Tow Bar to Be Used with etrailer Base Plate Kit e98968There isn't a way to connect to connect the Curt tow bar to etrailer base plate kits. The Curt tow bar is basically only designed to be used with the included brackets that attach to the front bumper. You'd need an etrailer tow bar like the part # e34ZR to use with your etrailer base plate # e98968.
