If you like a clean, factory look when you’re not towing, this setup keeps things neat. The hidden bracket design mounts inside the grille, leaving nothing bulky in sight once the drawbars are removed. The square front arms secure with hitch pins and slide out in seconds, so the remaining brackets are virtually invisible and protected from scrapes or road grime.
This kit uses computer-cut, all-steel construction for precise fit and dependable strength. Each bracket bolts directly to the frame with no welding required, so towing loads are spread evenly through the chassis. The black powder coat finish resists corrosion and keeps the hardware looking sharp after thousands of miles on the road.
When it’s time to tow, the removable drawbars line up easily and lock into place with two hitch pins. It’s a straightforward design that makes connecting fast and repeatable. The system works with Roadmaster tow bars when used with the quick-disconnect crossbar (910021-00 — sold separately), giving you a solid link between vehicle and tow bar that’s simple to operate.
You won’t need special tools or welding for installation. The custom brackets are designed for a perfect fit and come with mounting hardware and instructions. Once bolted up, alignment stays true for reliable towing performance trip after trip.

The brackets fit perfectly and were pretty easy to install. The nuts with the wires were tricky to get in place but overall I am happy with the product and the way they work.

The item got to me faster than expected.
The basic instructions we off in some areas. Some of the bumper bolt have to be put back in from the top, because the Roadmaster frame mount (on the right side)
Brkt fit perfect and after 9000 miles of towing is still just like the day I installed it. I also used the custom brkt under the seat to mount my air brake piston to activate the the brakes in the jeep while towing..thanks
It was a great fit to my 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I struggled with some crusty bolt on the Jeep but no issues with the base plates. I might suggest to Roadmaster that the installation would have been easier if they had included 4 of the threaded backing plates instead of the two they provided. Some of those bolts were in some pretty tight confines.
Purchased base plates for my Wrangler on line and was very impressed with the service from etrailer. product was delivered a few days earlier than expected and exactly what was ordered. Installation was implemented according to the instructions provided with no surprises.
The product top notch quality build. I have a 2015 jeep wrangler and to be honest installing the bolts inside the bumper frame is a pain in the butt. To be clear this is NOT etrailer’s fault, but be prepared to use either very a long pliers or some kind of rigged up tool to hold the nut while you screw it. It appears that video that is available on there web site has a technician who has very long fingers and was able to do it easily. My fingers are not as long so using just fingers was not an option for me.

The Roadmaster cross-bar base plate kit works great, was at a fair price and shipped quickly. We have had it a year now with no problems. Works as advertised and is the right towing solution for our motorhome.
I bought these base plates from eTrailer for my 2008 Jeep Wranger. They bolt right right on the Jeep with the included hardware and work great. I have been using my Stowmaster Tow Bar for over 20 years and have never had an issue with it or the many different base plates I have purchase for my vehicles in that time. I highly recommend Roadmaster base plates and the Stowmaster tow bar.
I ordered these brackets to tow my Jeep Wrangler behind my motorhome. Having used this brand before I knew the quality I would get and was not disappointed. The original order had 2 left side brackets and no right side brackets so after a call to customer support the correct part was sent. They even gave me a follow-up call to make sure I was taken care of. Mistakes happen but how a company responds to those mistakes is what really matters. These are people you can count on. Recently, we decided to setup our 2008 Wrangler JK to be towed behind the motorhome. All I needed were base plates because we had a previous tow car. After doing a search for parts, I decided on etrailer.com to be the source. The product search was easy and the descriptions along with the large photos helped me determine my mechanical skills were enough to install the plates.
